Playtime in the Gill
Triumph66 and one other reacted to meadowfield for a post in a topic
Sorry about the poor quality, had to resort to some phone footage and free wifi. Here's a few minutes of playtime over the last few days. The rain has been atrocious and the Gill (stream, river, creek) is in flood. http://youtu.be/EdhlBy9xedQ -
2 pointsA few videos I thought you guy's would be interested in.. I expect you have guessed the "something for Nigel" is Holder Am2 shaped.. This bale collecting trailer is a work of art, I've never seen anything like it before... The trailer appears after a few mins.. https://youtu.be/SiOPm4n3c_M And the reason for this show video? Well, the Maytag mower is the neatest and coolest mower I have ever seen.. The Mity Kat is very cool as well https://youtu.be/URPooBDeVtI

Cub Cadet and one other reacted to Tom for a post in a topic
The Cub made it to Rural past times and all went well. I was very pleased as I was a bit worried it wasn't going to be ready. The engine runs sweet as a nut and the transmission drives well however I did notice that the axles were leaking which is a common problem on these as the axle seals going and also the bronze bushes wear. £15 got me both seals and bushes from a local bearing supplier which was much cheaper than genuine. Axle carriers off: Lots of old oil and dirt: All cleaned up and ready to go back together: All finished: Tested it and no leaks and the axles are perfect now with no play, it is a lot better. The only thing left to do now is change the drive belt as it is quite perished and has a few cracks. I have to admit this Cub is by far my favourite tractor Tom -

foot throttle
morphemus reacted to meadowfield for a post in a topic
Hi Terry, Welcome to mom! Are you planning on adding another pedal next to the brake? Or not planned that far yet? You can't go wrong copying Ian's idea of adding one... Then just a throttle or clutch cable with a spring on the end -
1 pointHi Terry, let me have a think on it, I'm sure there's an easy solution.. I'm a "throw it in a pile and work it out from there" kinda guy, so it will have to wait until I'm back at my workshop tomorrow and can have a look at the carb linkage on my GT-14.

1 pointThanks mate, good to meet you too.. The names Ian by the way A foot throttle pedal wouldn't be too hard to make and fit, the fun bit would be the linkage that would allow you to use the hand throttle as well..

1 pointWelcome to MOM Morphemus, it's good to have you aboard. I have done a foot throttle on my latest project, but as it's more or less a full on custom build with no WH running gear left it's not really what your looking for.. A few of the guy's on our sister forum http://www.wheelhorseforum.com have done foot throttle conversion, but I can't find the right links at the mo..

1 pointGreat photos guys, me and my dad really enjoyed our weekend and it was great to meet old and new faces! Weather was lovely even though we did struggle to use any of our attachments. A massive thanks to Chris for organising it all and it was nice to see a good turn out. Definitely count me in for next year Tom
