3 pointsBar a few checks this Beaver and the Compact are now ready for a trail run and flow test. Today I wired up the stop switch,(new one obviously on the left) fitted the guard that I found for the oil cooler, (can see why so many got smashed off!). Fingers crossed that the pumps are ok as otherwise these projects start to get very expensive. Ive had no way of checking them until Ive got this far.

I'm guessing it is for picture frames. Pretty cleverly designed. The clamping jaws look like they would push both frame pieces towards the corner as it clamps. How much do you want for it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

1 pointWent to Shrewsbury Steam Rally today, the show in itself was great however its the last time I will ever attend due to the last 2 miles taking as long as the first 65 miles due to the organisers only opening one of the entrances to the show to the public and causing a two hour tail back. (this is the 3rd time Ive experienced this ) and then having to que for another half hour on top just for them to take my money! I even witnessed an ambulance with its siren on getting caught up in the jam. Any way heres a few photos of items that caught my eye, like I said a great show once you got in. Particuarly loved the moggie van, its claimed to be the oldest RHD one, it was really nice to see one preserved like this in original condition.

Some of you know I've been looking to move for over a year, I finally made it last Friday. So now we are out in the countryside just a few miles from Malham. Scenery fantastic, modern conveniences lacking... We are on bottled water, no mobile, Internet or phone line. And get hot water from a tap if I leave the heating on full! Huge plus side, no neighbours, lots of countryside, land and areas to play We've been busy pla...tidying for the last few days. Here's a few pics, I know some of you like them there's videos too, but currently on free wifi and dont have time. -
1 pointYou don't like them?? What's up with you all? They are great for keep ears warm Don't worry guys, those pipes were only put on like that for some experimentation.. I just posted the photo's to raise a few eyebrows The old exhaust system certainly caught a few people eye, but for me it did have a few problems. The shape of the down pipes didn't look that good where I had to extend them, the end cans made it look like someone had just bolted on a bike exhaust in the only place iit would fit, and the cans are far to restrictive in the flow department! Oh, and it sounded a bit tame! So yesterday out came the grinder and welder for operation "cut n shut" on the old exhuast sytem that came from the CX trike that Nigel and I broke up many months ago.. For me the shape of the downpipes make it look almost like a "factory" system.. Well, as factory as you can get for a bike engine stuffed in a Wheel Horse Both pipes need to be fully welded and cleaned up, then on with the black high heat paint all over.. Heat wrap for the down pipes and I have some honeycombe ally sheet to make some covers for the cans, put a bit of bling back.. But most important the system is a lot more free flowing, which is just what I need for the next stage..
