    Model traction engine.

I was just perusing the site and came across this thread, an ideal place for another one of my machines. This was started when my son was a babe in arms, It was going to be a piddler....I couldn't bring myself to build it so simply. it grew like Topsy all scratch built made up as I went along. My son is now 30... the engine is nearly finished It has been steamed once and I towed myself along standing on a pallet truck:)

Just got home from visiting the SVT and engine clubs rally. I have to admit, crawling out of bed at 6-30am, 350 mile round trip and getting home at 9-30pm, was well worth it. Met some of our Scottish members. The Fife Plooman, Eck, Ransome Ploughman, Rolloman and others, who all made Dunc and I welcome. Thank you very much lads. A pleasure to meet you all. I've a few photo's to put and a more in depth report, which I'll do tomorrow and I'm sure you'll enjoy.

    are you an anzani owner

i am starting a register for all anzani horticultural machines, there is one already for the iron horse run by pat holt and long may it continue. i would like to get lawnriders, easimows and motor hoes. iron horses are also welcome as an addition but not to replace the great list that pat and george had built up over the years. also any other horticultural anzani’s that may exist. so if you would be kind enough to help me get started please could you pm me the machine model, number, engine type and any other information that might be of interest along with your name and county. i will then send you an email of the register once its up and running. many thanks. p.s if your iron horse is not yet registered with pat holt i can pass your information to pat at your request

Mine is a 420 model 16D fitted with three cylinder Kubota engine ( a brand new one ). I have just found a front loader in USA, from pictures it looks as if it comes with most of three point linkage parts, waiting to hear from seller. Steiner also make a snow blower for the front which would be very cool!

Offloaded my trailer today ready to move my machines around using a temporary garage/tent I have put up. I used my Turftrak to pull the dead machines off the trailer, what a fantastic little machine it is , climbs slopes like a mountain goat, I was amazed that it could pull the skimmer the tracks are stiff with sitting for 25 years and on top of that there is a double reduction gearbox with huge wind up to overcome, no problem the hydrostatic transmission just steadily pulled, slipped a bit on the wet trailer and then it was off and towed it down the gravel easily. If anyone is looking for a powerful little tractor for trailer work or just around a big garden then this is the machine to go for. Trying hard to find a front loader for it as well as the rear three point linkage. It tows my big twin axle car trailer about without missing a beat superb machine.

Another project James!! No stopping you is there Other than the engine swap what's your plans for it? You could make a great mini recovery vehicle that would look cool at shows with something on the back

]It's now got new throttle and clutch cables and a pair of new handlebar grips, courtesy of www.merrytiller.co.uk, top class service! I've just got to clean the tank and carburettor out and away we'll go. Took it to the Brinkworth Show on Sunday with my others. I've been promised a Vee-plex pulley and this one will take it because it's not got a reverse gear....
