    A VERY DISAPPOINTED SHOWMAN.

After finding his way back to John's place today, the Showman's eye's lit up when he spotted my Sears GT16, one of the first "wrecks" to emerge from the undergrowth a few years ago. When told that there was no RED colour option available, his jaw dropped and he went off muttering something about sticking to Wheel Horses and maybe the red Bolens. Just can't please some people.

Sears did make tractors in red a few years before your Sears, in fact they made them in Orange, Blue, Red, and Yellow as well

    Ransomes MG2 number 137

At last many thanks for those involved in sorting it out. Photos from yesterday and some from today when I cleaned off half the body and acid treated it with phosphoric before a protective primer coat.

Not had much time this week. But have managed to move things along a bit. The fuel tank has been stripped, repaired and primed. The gearbox is now stripped down, cleaned, de-burred the gears and the outer case is now in primer ready for its top coat. The rest of metal work is at the blasters. Have even managed to order the steel tube and a decent tube bender to reproduce the 'missing' handle bars, couldn't believe what a local company were asking just to supply and bend a bit of tubing!

I like to think we are in the same service of saving old machines, in that respect I hope I have plenty of rivals and competition I restored the Bolens H16 and Massey MF-16, the rest are from original owners and were kept up nicely

It really depends on the length of your spindle. I have three upgrade applications depending on length. Let me know and I'll post the info
