    C-Saw

Not 100% sure if this saw was polished or came from the factory that way but it doesn't have the usual painted finish. It seems like it would be very difficult to polish the metal around the original decal without destroying it. Looks kind of cool nice and shiney. This is the old school type with a real early engine. O&R 13B. (Groomer trimmer)

I meant to add these last night but got distracted. Here are parts which look to be for holding the trimmer head on, I'm missing the shaft that goes between the 201254 shaft part and the PTO shaft on the engine. Part 400642 is a cap that fits on the end of this second shaft which has internal spring clips. And here are the parts that make up the air cleaner assembly, the first two parts 87-4 & 122-1 were previously used as exhaust parts, part 200946 is a modified version of the standard air cleaner part without the raised edge (see comparison with standard part) and the last part is a typical fixing rod for the air cleaner assembly (minus nuts & washers). And the last part is the complete trigger cable assembly part 400611, I've no idea if there are different lengths of this for the various models of string trimmers they made, I put the loose parts on the end of the cable, they look to be fitted & soldered during assembly. David P.S. there are a few more small parts, a bronze bearing, various spacers & fixings that I haven't pictured yet, not even sure if they are for these.

    Carb question

Hi guys!! I’m pretty excited. I got carb back together, diaphragm assembly together and carb on. Hooked up gas line to carb and little hanging bottle with mixed gas 24-1, sae30 HD as instructed on side of gas tank. First push of primer button and gas went up the tube, very surprised how far it actually moved, about 5 pushes took it up 16” of gas line. It doesn’t have the exact Spark plug in it but all I have right now. No fuel tank on it or exhaust. I gave it a couple extra primes after fuel reached carb. Put choke on, second pull it kicked!! A few more pulls, monkeying with choke a bit, kicking a bit more each time, it started!! It seemed to want to take off and rev up pretty quick so I just shut it down. Just to be safe. I wasn’t really sure where throttle was. Anyway pretty nice to see it run, it might never run again, I don’t know but I’ll get right plug, finish cleaning it all and put completely back together. Then try it again. A couple things though. Should I go with a different gas mix? I have 2 stroke STIHL mix, not synthetic. I attached 2 pics, the older O&R has a little filter in gas tank on end of fuel intake. The one I’m working on now has nothing on fuel intake. What options do I have for this one, I obviously need something, correct? In the pic you can see a hard drop of oil on bottom of tank, the tube is about 3/16” above it. Thanks again

    Creme Lure Generator refresh

Seems the primer bulb light cover is a success and fit perfectly. Thanks for sending those Terry @JUST O&R. Probably not the best solution ever but it works for this one as it's just a display piece anyway and now looks much better with a cover over the bare light bulb.

Ohlsson & Rice: Kenco Pump with Type 133?

It's all pure speculation unless you have pictures showing both the engine type & the model number (61MX3 ?) on the pump and several examples turn up to prove it's not been re-painted. The three rather low-res pictures could be from many years ago, worthlesspoint harvests information from ePay listings, but usually only a couple of the pictures. The muffler certainly doesn't look correct for military use. As for the drone mention that is complete nonsense, people got confused with the large 4 cylinder McCulloch engine re-used in the early Bensen B-8M Gyrocopter (which can have an O&R engine used for the pre-rotator mechanism only). McCulloch made the drone engines. David
