Well theRe wasnt room to get the calliper on the rear axle so change of plan and stuck it on the lay shaft but that is going to be spinning fast so I thought I better put a guard on it ,I now have brakes

    O&R 13B. (Groomer trimmer)

Did some looking around in my shop and located the other O&R engine I have. This came off a Groomer trimmer. See the pics. It runs wide open all the time. It was built with a Tillotson HU that has no throttle shaft. Never had one. No choke either, just the primer button. The only thing to impede air flow into the engine is a screw that holds the base and reed plate in place. Installed a new diaphragms in the carb. I had this hooked up to a remote tank to run it. It sounds like an irritated bumblebee!

O/R motor marine for White Heat 10

From the serial number 93xxxx the engine dates from March 1969, in August of that year they stopped stamping the serial number into the crankcase and instead put it on the cylinder cooling baffle (not fitted on this engine), which are often taken off & go missing. Very nice engine by the way, you've reminded me I need to fit the Octura carb & exhaust to mine, it's not the V8 exhaust though. David

Scooter wheels are an Idea. I modified scooter wheels on my C-121, Black Horse. I used trailer hubs as well. May give you ideas. Page 15.

    O&R 13B. (Groomer trimmer)

I've been sorting all the various boxes of incomplete engines & parts over the weekend, I came across the remains of what I think was a chainsaw engine, with a crankcase that will be very useful for building the trimmer engine from the spares I have. Someone had tried to fill in the crankcase port with a solder blob , I soon got rid of that, something that may not be obvious from the pictures is that the port goes in at an angle to avoid the crankcase mounting holes. Any leads would be gratefully appreciated, just to save me messing about with them I am looking at 8" lambretta split rims at the moment. Kevin has said he may have some bits to give me a head start, any thing to keep me from having to decorate a bedroom

Finally finished the saw, Webhead was able to send me a screw hook for the muffler. Now all it needs is a decal!
