  1. I use mine quite a bit on full tilt just to get heat into something. Great for reducing labour, just grind of the weld after
  2. If it's like mine, then it'll weigh hardly anything - and weld thick and thin at the turn of a dial!
  3. Is it an inverter mig? Looks like my sip one.
  4. Here's engineering on a tiny scale. Just rebuilt the diff on Finns losi micro rc car. Good job my eyes still work!
  5. It's a short frame box too, I think it's a commando 8 one from Ian... They are narrower track.
  6. Nice work, be finished next week...
  7. We need the cold snap, the ground needs to firm up. Sheep are really struggling now with no le up for 8 weeks.
  8. Cool, we are still hangin on for it... It's stopped raining, and we had snow on the peaks. Hopefully ours will come in the next few days
  9. I've had my doubts about my eldest son for a while. He apparent lack of interest in machinery worried me. He's been more interested in girls and partying. He did buy one of my horses from me, but apart from this pic last weekend he'd shown no interest However the sight of this on the webcam wednesday assured me that he was indeed my son and perfectly normal Jake had been up the lane dozing dirt on his C-125 and clearly wasn't happy he'd got it dirty. Seems he might have a new love in his life
  10. let me know if you get sorted, I've fixed a lot worse!
  11. You may end up with the tensioner fixed and on the low side. On C4 when I reverse the chain can skip!
  12. Good news, give the shoulder and hand time to recover!
  13. nice work, as long as the chain doesn't go too tight not an issue it is touches the axle really. My chain on bendy has stretched and now the axle is the idler
  14. ha, that's what the beer crate is for
  15. In my experience (probably way behind most of you) When I'm convinced it's all there and its just fuel - or lack of. I just put a teaspoon in through the plug hole. It usually make it fire first stroke and then they tnd to draw enough fuel through to run. It it runs for a second or so, it at least satisfies me that the timing, valves and spark are OK...
  16. Slow progress, what with Xmas and all that. We got distracted with the centre support column and decided it would make a good drill stand/bench grinder stand/ power point.
  17. Long overdue an update! But now I have a fairly functional workshop I can get on with the outstanding jobs to complete bendy. In no particular order: Improve final drive to live rear axle, if the belts get wet or grass gets trapped then I lose drive under extreme conditions. Complete front three point hitch Add a diff lock indicator and improve the spring tension Complete the hydraulics. Add a front chain idler - the front chain has stretched and flaps around a bit Get the crank pin reground on the magnum 16 I'm thinking of tackling the hydraulics next, here's a d series dual spool valve and transit power steering pump. There should be just enough room to squeeze them in under the front right fender.
