  1. That's what I call a very satisfactory result. Also an engine sourced PDQ.
  2. About 6cwt at a guess. No bulk in it.
  3. Got some more done today after it stop raining. This is the strip I did by hand yesterday. Nearly to the drive gate. Little C-81 has been working like a good 'un. She looks a lot cleaner in the photo than she is. Drainage pipe in, covered with pea gravel, membrane on that and filled in. Rusty thinking, "Oh goody! Some nice soft earth to dig holes in".
  4. Unfortunately, where the path ends in front of the studio door, it tends to hold water after heavy rain. So the time has come when I have finally to do something about it. Today a start was made. Arranged with my mate Dunc for him to come over with his digger, so a drain could be installed. This would run the length of the front garden, across the front of the house to the drive gate. Dunc couldn't get over till afternoon, so I installed the grid at the path end and started to dig by hand. The soil removed was transported away with the C-81 and Saxon trailer. By the time Dunc arrived, I had dug the length of the house and shifted two trailer loads. Remembered a couple of photo's for the Showman. More to follow. Sorry about the photo quality. Rushed them to get Dunc back in the digger after he jumped out to pose.

    Bolens HT20

    I thought Bolens was spelt :- B.O.L.E.N.S.? Not :- K.U.B.O.T.A.??
  6. Bit of an update. She has now moved in and given it a name. The Hutch. Still some bits to do on the outside. Name plate up and the hay rake rescued from John's, painted and hung. The artist at work. The view from the door.
  7. Used that one already.
  8. From out of the mouths of babes.
  9. Got to tell Carol about the Sears yet.
  10. Judging by the look of that rear tyre, Joseph's put a bit of weight on over Christmas.

    Bolens HT20

Bit of a tidy up and it'll be grand as owt.
  12. Wasn't looking at the mower.
  13. When I suggested the key steel Angus, I hadn't seen the key photo's and was assuming ordinary type keys. Definitely be a waste of time trying to make some.
  14. You can get lengths of key steel from a steel stockist if you've one local.
  15. You could maybe sleeve the axle if possible, then you can use standard size bushes.
  16. As well as the above, I'd give the fuel system a good clean out.
  17. How long have you had it and when was it last run?
  18. My mistake with the date. It should read 19th March. For all of you planning on entering, I have entry forms. P.M. me your address and I will post to you. Entries are the princely sum of £8 each class. Three entries so far. Me, Graeme(madjock) and my mate Dunc with one of Jonathan's (expeatfarmer) Ransome crawlers. Jonathan can't make it this year but has graciously loaned the Ransome.
  19. He's made a very nice job of that, Darren. Seems a shame to paint it.
