Best bit, it was free !
It could do with new blades but i am having problems trying to work out which model it is. I have been on the John Deere web site and done a google search but cant find the correct model, can anyone help ?

Here's a few more photos.
This is a spare bonnet we had lying around, at some point it had been cleaned up and painted so it was a quick job.
The primed parts have been added since the dash tower on a C-125 is different.
I'm not a fan of painting parts when bolted together but I know everything is rust free and Jake isn't bothered so long as the tractor looks tidy.
Here is where I have got to, we have got some new tyres for the back and then I will be able to paint the rims all round.

Back in November last year my dad bought a large collection of WH implements and tractors, in the collection was a C-125 that my brother bought, he wasn't a fan of the hood and fender so he hired me to convert it into a C-121 and restore it for him.
Here is what it looked like, it was in a restored condition and most of it has been sandblasted so it was an easy job for me to just sand down the paint and then repaint.
After a bit more taking apart and cleaning the bulk had been painted and reassembled, this is the only picture I took of me painted chassis and gearbox.
There will be more photos to follow later.

So a couple of weeks ago Finn forgot to take it out of gear when getting off to open a gate, consequently it took off straight into the gate and had an implication with one of the coach bolts sticking through... This is the mess that it made.
Next he was asking me to repair it for him so I started by using a fibre glass repair kit and then using a little bit of filler.
After a bit of paint you can't tell it was there.

I've recently had my Allan engine running again after nearly two years in pieces. If you don't wish to watch the preparations the start up is at 7 minutes.

I got most of the frame work done yesterday and started to fabricate the sides.
First I cut the back and then the sides
I hope my dad doesn't notice I've stolen some of his gate

I've been wanting to make one of these for a long time so today in and amongst painting I knocked one up out of scrap wood to work out the sizing of the actual one. Here are some photos.
This is the wooden frame that I made
A load of angle iron was dug out that I acquired some time ago.
Thanks to my dad for the welding.
Here is how far we got, still lots to do but it's getting there

Thanks mate
Don't you mean Australian Norm?
With the fuel tank braced in the right place I could make a start on rebuilding the frame.. This may sound a strange way of doing it, but I want the frame to be a feature and not hidden away under bodywork.
Every cut and join in the frame has some nice thick steel bar inside to make sure it's all strong enough when welded up.. Everything is only tack welded at the mo as I've run out of Mig wire.
I like the "double down pipe" look, the o/s was easy..
If your thinking the n/s looks a bit close to the carb then you would be right!
It's so close that I had to notch the inside of the pipe to give enough space to get a fuel pipe on the carbs!
Putting some strength back in the front, roll on Monday when my welding wire should arrive and I can zap all the tubes fully together..

A nice machine James, you just need to put some air in the rear tyre and paint the blue red
