My late grandfather was evacuated from Dunkirk. He was in the RAF and he had a lot of stick form the solders when the Luftwaffe strafed and bombed them on the beach. He said it was one of the most depressing experience he ever had. Furthermore, he was enroute to Singapore in 1942 when it fell to the Japanese. Another lucky escape.

That's a very tidy commercial Disco. Not many of those around in that condition.
I was offered one about 7 years ago but was put off as the owner's dog destroyed the interior including chewing the steering wheel to bits. I thought if that the cabin, what's the back like!

I used Skype when my sister moved to France but I never got on with it as it kept breaking up due to poor internet connections here in Devon (Broadband is very hit and miss here in the South West due to the small density of population. There is approximately a million people in Devon and Cornwall so very little invested here compared to the South where I believed there's approximately 15 million people).

On a very serious note, I look forward to hearing more about this Bolens with the FEL (Philip) and the sale of the Bolens collection plus implements (Alan). I can assure you both that whoever buy anything collectable within the forum, they will go to very good homes with appreciative owners.

Alain,
Don't be fooled by its appearance.....
A true story. When I was a Head Gardener with the National Trust, one of my gardeners served in the Royal Navy for 25 years. He told me a funny story about how his ship sailed pass an American battleship somewhere.
The American captain flashed a signal to the British Captain saying 'What it like to sail pass the World's largest Navy?'
The Royal Navy Captain promptly responded 'What it like sailing past the World's best Navy?'
An absolute classic.
Cheers
Andrew

Dear Alan,
Thank you for sharing this info with everyone.
I am more than happy to take the lead on this offer. I know the others are too busy to take care of this situation satisfactorily and fairly. In any case I am the only one with the correctly spelt name.
Yours obedient servant,
Andrew
PS Alain, the Royal Navy are on stand by to intercept you. I have told them you are an insane illegal immigrant.
-
Remember, I am first in line .........
-
Alain, it doesn't count mate as your name spelt wrong! Come to think of it, so Iain's! So that's just Chris and me. No wait, Chris is spelt wrong too; it should be Christopher. Anyway as I was saying, it Dave and me. Hang on, Dave spelt wrong as well. It should be David.
Oh well, Look like I get first dibs for all Bolens stuff after all.
Cheerio losers!

Philip,One of the code of conduct within the Bolens Circle is that the Bolens collectors on this forum are contacted in alphabetical order which by a stroke of good fortune I am first on the list for any rare Bolens!

That's an absolute beauty you got there Philip. In my humble opinion I would keep it just as it and apply a coat of Owatrol to enhance the patina. The RJ 58 are my favourite Å´heel Horse models and look similar to the Bolens round hood models like the 800.
-
No Bolens snow blower then........
The Å´heel Horse look very solid and an absolute bargain for one lucky sod.
-
Fantastic work Ian.
Another masterpiece from the Shack!
-
Norman, that's looking great. Will you cut and polish the top coat to create a real shine?
-
A very nice collection you have there Mark.
-
Be warned Luke, Chris ain't joking!
-
That's good news that it's all up and running. That will get you motivated to start other jobs on it.
-
That's an unusual looking machine there.
-
You could say he gone into the Black Hole of Calcatta.....

I think there's a Trojan on eBay at the moment. Here are several photo of it.
