  1. I know someone in the UK who has a G11, so I know they were imported. If I remember correctly the G11 was often called the rainbow Bolens due to the decals.
  2. Thanks for this write up , this is really helpful as I was considering doing something similar on one of my Raiders. I have a new old stock clevis hitch ready to put on it. Iain
  3. Chris, It would be good to see some pictures when you get the chance. I have a couple of SCH trailers and one needs similar treatment to your trailer. It's good to start the New Year with a new project. Iain
  4. I have a Clark 14cfm with a 150ltr tank. It work well for me getting an hour's use most days and runs all weekend. It gets used for everything from painting to grit blasting, air hammer, etc. It is not the best quality and probably not the cheapest but does everything I throw at it. I ran my first one for 20 years before selling it, when I moved from a 3-phase to single phase workshop. The current one I have had for 12 years without a problem. Iain
  5. It is possible that the linkage just needs adjustment. An access hole is in the side panel below the motion lever and you just adjust the nut until it takes 16-20 lbs of force to move the lever. I needed to do this to both of my D-series and it made a big difference. Hope this helps Iain
  6. I have looked everywhere I can think of and can't find out any information about the HDT1000, it sure is a rare beast. Iain
  7. I really like it and it is very unusual. A Tecumseh engine gets a bit noisy with a pepper pot exhaust. I have one on a 10hp (HH100) Bolens and it is not great.
  8. Nice machine and it looks in good condition. I noticed a couple of things from the pictures that are very interesting. I see a fixing has been put in the forward travel so that it is unable to travel at full speed. My D-160 came like that and I and I have always wondered why. I have left it in place as my seven year old did drive it before he could reach the peddles on other tractors and it is good to keep the speed down. It would be good to know why it was fitted. I also noticed that the front wheels are four stud, presumably 4inch PCD. Both my D-160 and D-200 have hubs similar to a C-series and I have always thought it was a weak point on a heavy D-series. Do any of you WH experts know if this is a hub upgrade or standard on some D-200's. It is good to see a D-200 with the standard seat complete with the armrests. It looks good with narrow chevrons, something I may do to my D-160 as the original tyres are on the last legs. Iain

    model t go cart

I love it, it looks great and lots of fun
  10. Great one Tom It's good to see a another great machine heading into Norfolk. What are you plans for it? Iain
  11. Not me either, same reason I have a few red ones in my collection in case the women in my life need to use something for light duties
  12. As you mentioned OldBuzzard, those decals are not on the HT23, or at least they are not on mine. If I remember correctly you sent me a PM on MTF about a year ago asking about HDT1000's in the UK. I did some search then and could not find any trace in the UK. I believe the UK imported, Howard also imported Bolens into other countries in the world but I am not sure if they imported into mainland Europe, which would be the most like place to find a HDT1000. I will do a few searches in various places across Europe to see if anything turns up. I know from experience that searches from different parts of the world often display different results. Iain
  13. Sorry about your Mum Neil, I went through something similar a few years back with my mum and for me the thing that always comes to mind is that you cannot spend too much time with them. As such, if everything turns out well it is good family time, if not you will never get the opportunity to do it again and it is the memories that matter. Have a great Christmas Iain
  14. Fantastic and straight forward idea, I wish I had thought of that. It would be good to see a close up of where the chisel mates with the tooling.
  15. OldBuzzard, I have been following the restoration of the forklift on another forum. Great job Largeframe Bolens are really hard to find in the UK and I can't imagine any of the forklift attachments found it's way over. Iain
  16. I do at the moment but I am expecting an email any time to arrange date/time for viewing
  17. Happy birthday, I hope you have a good day. I have really enjoyed your plowing posts during the year, thanks. Iain
  18. My Arun has been in storage for more years than I can remember (at least 10) and it is probably now going to a new home, assuming a deal can be agreed. I dug it out over the weekend put some fuel in the tank and it started and ran exactly as it did when I put it away. I wish everything I had was that reliable. A few pictures Iain
  19. Wait until you see the one OldBuzzard has, that it even more cool....
  20. The more common forklift attachment for a Bolens is a Johnson, but the one OldBuzzard has is really cool and not like the one Nigel made (even though that is really cool too) This is an advert for the Johnson one
  21. Looking really good. I too love making up repair panels it is very satisfying. It would be good to know more about your home made metal folder Thanks Iain

    xmas

    Merry Christmas everyone. Iain
  23. Welcome to MOM OldBuzzard. I enjoy following your posts on other forums and if I remember correctly you helped me a while back with a question I had on one of my Bolens. The Bolens importer Howard, sold a number of unique attachments in the UK and some are very interesting. Talking of drooling, I am sure the folks on here would love to see your 1886 forklift. Best wishes Iain
  24. I like that. I is now called my shailer From past experience of failures I have come to realise that the only strong tractors I own are Bolens , it's just a case of which one. When it gets really boggy I move over to one with diff lock.
