Its been some time since I was able to get on with the restoration on the 1556, but yesterday was a good day. I removed the wiring harness for a rewrapped of tape and removed the PTO to rebuild and paint black, I also lifted the engine to paint separtly. I sanded everything with fine sandpaper then rewashed with the power washer, After drying, (did not take long, a little over 35C here yesterday) I sprayed the OSPHO on rusty and bare areas while I prepared my primer. I used a Alkyd clean metal primer with a hot reducer and a small amount of hardener, applying liberally, many pieces getting multiple coats. Next i will sand and power wash again, then use two top coats of Alkyd Industrial enamel with a hot reducer and hardener. Decals will come after tractor is put together. Its a start, still many weeks to go. Attention to detail is very important to get these back to original.

Gents, I finally found a photo of a decal that I need for the refurbishment of the HDT1000.

Unfortunately it isn't in the best of shape and some of it isn't readily readable.

Some of it is unreadable but I'm thinking that if you know German, French, or Swedish you can help me fill in the blanks.

Here's the decal in question.  I may be getting a bit higher resolution photo of it and might be able to post that if necessary.

    Evening All,
Having acquired the front blade for the RJ at the weekend i thought i'd put up a few photos of it more or less complete. The rear plough, which is a Barford Atom item, is the one that was used on the RJ by the previous owner; disc to be found.

When the blade arrived home my 5 year old son was chuffed to bits; jumping around with excitement. His 2 year old sister however didn't know what the fuss was all about but joined in jumping anyway.

I'll take it to a couple of shows as is before restoration starts although i  don't want to end up with it in bits if i need it in any snow

    Hello to all.

I know some of you have seen this before, sorry. Another restoration waiting to be done, an RJ58 with the possibility of plough & front blade in the future.

As many of you know, we are meeting up at tractorfest at Ripon next weekend. As bendy is 90% complete and I'm at work all week, I though I'd best get bendy all shiny and ready.
Here's The front lights finally wired.

And bendy getting a good wash

Finally managed to find a Turf Trac, typically I have been looking for a couple of years finally bought one from way down south only to find another for sale on Gumtree at Annan 30 miles away ( lot more money ). This one is fitted with a 4ft front mounted cutting deck. The reason I wanted one was that trying to move a dead crawler from one garage to the workshop was just too much for my ride on mower and using a live crawler just chews up the drive and the garage floor. 16.5hp Kubota three cylinder engine starts and runs well. Hydraulic lift front and rear , front and rear pto. four wheel hydrostatic drive with twin ratio axles 11 miles an hour top speed. Pulls like a train and turns in a 36inch inner circle.
Needs a new seat  some decals and a general tidy up. Typical it rained persistently after delivery so limited playing time.

Yes, it does have the PS option fitted.

Here's a short walk around vid of it that I took as it sat at the dealer's place before they delivered it to me.

It had been sitting there for about 4-5 years, and all it took to get it running was a new battery, and a bit of cleaning of the points.

One of my 1250s has developed a starting problem and I was needing it closer to the garage so I can work on it.

I fired up the 1886 forklift and it made short work of the job.

Bear in mind that the mast is only rated for 750#, and that the shipping weight of a 1250 is listed as being 975#.  Now add the weight of the fluids and the dual wheels and one could safely say that the 1250 is a tad over 1000# as it sits.

The 1886 forklift didn't even grunt.  Just picked it up and away I went  :D

Those are CST ANCLA ATV tyres.

I have them on two other large frames as well.  My 1886 with FEL and the HDT1000.  They are 6-ply rated with a good load capacity, and with a tread depth close to 1" give great traction.

As an added bonus, their logo uses a Husky so it's almost as if they were destined to be used on a Bolens tractor :D

As some of you may have seen as my dad posted some pictures. I picked up a cub cadet 70 the other day with all the original manuals and number plates, here's the pictures of when it arrived.

My fully restored Wheel Horse C-121 had to go to pay for my new project.

These are the manuals that came with it and also the leaflets from the dealer in Cleckhuddersfax.
