@Webhead Joe did a bunch of restorations so I bet he has already done the leg work for finding the close match colors.
I had a Cub Cadet yellow that closely matched the Orline stuff but don't remember the exact color it was
-
Usedtoolman Jim is a machinist and he did exactly that with using a template he made to match the original caps.
I like the cap idea Joe posted too. Kind of funny how the picture they use to sell them looks like the bottom of it was cut off with a clam shell.
-
@usedtoolman did a write up a while back on some he did using the tool handle dip stuff. They came out really nice and resembled the originals pretty closely.
Stuff like this in black

I remember seeing a frame for that Pigmy Power Plant before. Probably back on the old forum
-
It was on there at a fair price and thought about it but just don't have the time for another generator. The listing did not have a pic of the output side when I saw it. There were quite a bit a small companies back then so not so sure it's homemade. But there are also quite a bunch of really skilled people out there too.
-
Well, it only takes about 9 or 10 months to do something which used to get done in a day or two. Finally got around to and made some time to assemble this cutoff saw. It's not 100% done as I need to make a grommet for the carb intake to match up with the hole for the air cleaner and I'll install a new carb while I'm at it. Still need to order a new blade too and do some clean up on it.
Used to be able to go through these quickly but didn't look for the specialty tools I made for easier access to the tough to reach bolts an such. Luckily the recoil went fast and got that the first try.
-
How many did you get the first time?
If you get a bunch, offer them up for sale as I don't much time.
-
I have diaphragms. Send me a PM on here if you need diaphragms. $10 each. Very rare you would need a new check valve unless it's lost or you have the rubber type which gets warped. The paper gasket is not necessary 95% of the time and using just the diaphragm without the paper gasket seems to make a better seal. I have both the check valves and gaskets as well.
-
I forgot about those! Maybe it's the chainsaw gear cases that all have the D shape shaft. JD's TT probably won't have the keyways.
Ha, that happens to me too.
It's organized chaos.
-
Typically the PTO shaft on the crank shaft will be a D shape for the gearbox engines. It's been so long I can't remember what the older style clutches used but don't think those are tapered either.
-
there's one for $9 + $3 shipping. Those aluminum pieces are fairly easy to clean up and make nice.

Is this the one you were looking at?
-
I can find you a baffle. The bigger one for the carb side?
-
Always good to have spares around if you collect. I have never once bought an engine strictly for parts but there's gotta be at least 10 out there which turned into it because of taking a chance or not as advertised. Anyway, it's nice to be able to pick and choose the better parts to use for putting together tools ie: a nicer recoil cover, proper hardware, less rust on the coil ect. ect. ect.
-
He must've wanted the carbs. But for $30, JD could get everything he needs plus some spare parts.
Think I saw that drillgine tank up for sale too for $50. If that's the same guy he grossly overestimated what that tank is worth. But for $20 they look real good on an outboard if you don't have the plastic cover. I get the most offers for mine like that at all the shows.

There's a TT parts motor on epay now. Search Tiny Tiger and you should find it. Nothing to loose by "making an offer" and asking a few questions. Looks like it might have all the parts you need plus some

Saw those on Ebay and instantly recognized them as being cut from Eric out in CA. The blue check valve and the paper gasket material is an exact match for the stuff I worked with him on. It's nice to see them being offered again on ebay. Something I just never had the time to do.
Curious if you would be interested in linking this forum on your ad? Ohlssonandrice.com will direct right to the O&R section here. We can help your customers with questions and direction for installing them.
I have exact replica diaphragms for sale ,$10 each includes the paper gasket. Just let me know if you also need a check valve.
Do you have any O&R engines yourself?
-
Easy, get out your credit card and start collecting every O&R tool you can find! Your welcome
-
Find another one. They are common and can be found.
They get quite a bit of attention when I display a bunch of them too. Most people have no idea they even made 2 stroke powered tools
-
After a catastrophic failure like that, my advice is to find another engine. To me it would be more dependable than repairing that one. The only thing you need on a different engine is the PTO crankshaft side needs to be tapered and have a threaded hole for the generator bolt. You will see engines with a shaft which have a longer round shaft with a flat side on them but if it has a bolt in it, that shaft comes off the tapered shaft you want. There's one on epay now but the guy wants like $199 for it. Nice engine but you can find one less expensive or buy that one and sell the extra parts. That gas tank alone might sell for $25 - $40 depending on bad someone wants it.

Look at the shaft, remove that bolt and that shaft extension comes off the tapered crank end like you need for attaching a TT generator head.
If you search Orline on there, there are a couple of rods and bearings which might fit your engine but David @factory can help you with what fits better than I can.
You'll probably need a new piston and head, all the gaskets and seals, rod and bearings. By the time you pay for all of that you could probably find a donor engine, change the diaphragm and be up and running for the same amount or less. Plus not worry about if that case piston head and other parts are any good,. Just my opinion. Once you tear it down and have a good look see inside you can make a decision on the best approach. I might have the parts you need to do it.

Here's an earlier thread posted on compressors. The manual is also linked by factory in one of the posts in the thread
-
You found the right place!
You found someone looking for one too as I'm definitely interested in it.
There are some compressors around but the compressors aren't common. There are certainly both more common and more rare O&R tools out there but they fall in the more rare spectrum.
You can download a manual for it in the manuals sticky thread. Scroll down and you will see "Orline Compressor"
-
I have a sheet of material and just need to send it to be lasered into little diaphragms.
Me either, LoL.
You got hooked up!
-
If Just O&R can't hook you up, order the needle off ebay and I have the other half of the valve assembly. Joe @Webhead might have a NOS valve but he has sold most of his parts stash.
I don't have many diaphragms left so best to get them off the seller on epay
