    Westwood Trailer with attitude

Some of you will have seen this before ,but for those who have not get a look at this twisted cutie. started with a stock trailer and immediately I had a vision of how it should look today. looks rather small for the wheel horse c 61 so with a lot of thought etc and cheap bits and pieces from my friends I made this. Now that's more like it. comes with extended body, extra axel, suspention which works like a beam axel. full controllable hydraulic raise and lower by hand pump and Grafics by Titch, machinery decals. would just like to add that this trailer will tip at 90 degrees so anything awkward will come out.

    Home made plough/dozer blade.

I built this out of what I had lying around, in anticipation of snow last winter. I'm still waiting. First a frame was made using some 1-5/8 bore pipe and box section. Then the front end put together The blade was made at the local smithy. No rollers big enough, so it was curved in stages on a folder. I made my own tach-o-matic for the rear. Then this dodgy character nicked it.

    My oldest and newest gems.

Here's some shots of my oldest and newest gems. The first is a roteho gem number g367. I'm still looking for a gearbox for this one( needs to come off a machine with the number g500 or lower).-if ny one can help? The second is a dowdeswell 650, this also needed a new gearbox, which I've now managed to turn up a correct period one. G367 is from 1942 and the 650 from 1988, even tough they are 46 years apart you can see bar the engine how little the design changed over the years.

What else do you do for recreation?

Since being a young boy my family has gone camping in some sort of RV (caravan). We started with 5 of us in a 12' Pickup Camper, the kind that slide into the bed of a pickup truck and grew into a 5th wheel. When I had kids of my own, it felt natural for us to go camping as well. We started with a 19' Hybrid camper (a solid wall unit with tent like ends which are where the beds are) then onto a 34' trailer and finally to our current 5th wheel. Even if just for a weekend, I like to get away from home, lounge outdoors with a cold beer watching the world go by, only getting up to get another beer

    Not enough room.

Must admit I'm rather proud of it. Always wanted a decent sized workshop. Myself and a friend who's was in the building trade built it 5yrs ago. I made the doors myself.
