yes its getting a 404 chain and its going in a rig somewhere out near rare breeds centre all will become clear on monday you would need to be built like leatherface to use this in the normal way having said that once you have it in the air the weight of the machine and the 120cc will do the rest for you -
1 pointI may have a couple of spare 12" wheels like the ones with the ag tyres on, you could widen them or swap the centres over. or you may be able to bore a pair of wheelhorse hubs to suit the reliant shaft.

Work on my Wheel Horse Raider 20 6X6
Ian reacted to Charlie Smith for a post in a topic
Looking at the thickness of some of this metal, I'm thinking..... I wonder what this beast weighs? Have you a local weigh bridge that may be able to help? Would be interesting to find out the weight of this beast, Also.... Once back together and finished, it looks like time for a good old pressure wash, she looks abit dirty.... -
1 pointHi Ian, got PM, sorting it out, Renewing bearings on the BCS flail, pics of the drive pulleys, no keys, the bore of the pulley & the outside of the centre piece have matching tapers, the screws pull the two together very tightly. I assume no keys to allow shock absorption by slipping . I wonder if something like this may help prevent the taperlock breakages you are suffering ? With a lathe I would think they would not be too difficult to makeif an immovable object is encountered

Wheel Horse C-81
diggerjames reacted to Stormin for a post in a topic
Today, well yesterday afternoon actually, I decided to attack the C-81. The original fixed jet carb was cleaned up, cleaned out and re-assembled. The float bowl is the correct one as it is the same bowl as the C-120. Difference being the 120 had a gasket which I copied. Re fitted the cleaned up carb today and started up. Ran a bit better, but the throttle and choke had to be juggled. I wasn't happy with the throttle action. Rather stiff compared to the C-125s. So all that was removed, cleaned up and replaced. Not a lot of difference made. So back to starting it p and playing with the idle screw. At one point it stopped and refused to re start. This had me a little perplexed. That was until I looked in the petrol tank. I could see the bottom. Now with fuel in, off we went again. Things are better now but not as I would like. Still can't get a nice smooth idle, but it runs and drives ok at wider throttle openings. Another thing on the list is a quieter exhaust. This one is a bit too noisy for my liking. -

rotoscytheben reacted to meadowfield for a post in a topic
Been a while.... Distracted with this. My locking diff With heavy duty hubs Re bushing the brake pedal, after making it a bit shorter. Bearing carriers for the intermediate drive shaft Final strengthening plates on the rear sub frame, just needs painting. The collection of bits to build the last bit of transmission That's about it, I have been cleaning and painting four wheels - no pics, it's a bit dull. Gonna be slow progress for a while, got a weekend with my mates in cambridge next week followed by final show of the year at driffield. -
