C-120 refurb.
WestwoodGazelle and 5 others reacted to Stormin for a post in a topic
Well the C-121 is now up and running. Still mods to do, but they will get done in time. Bit different to how it looked almost 12 months ago. All that's left now is the arrival of the stickers. Also new tyres when funds allow. -

Had this GIVEN to me today
Triumph66 and 4 others reacted to the showman for a post in a topic
Had an hour or so on the zig-zag, found some junk metal in the pile and started making the drawbar thingy, bit of tube a bit of box section and a couple of gate hinges. Still thinking how i can lift it off the ground for traveling. The chains might be a bit long but i can always shorten them. Next bit is the hitch end to do then once its attached to the tractor i can work out how to lift the back with the lift handle -

1 pointAlain, Glad to hear that that little anomaly is solved! Also pleased with myself that I actually contributed something constructive about Bolens! Andrew

1 pointDr. Bolens emailed me and told me the manuals were WRONG and that the belts were 30" for all hydros, but that some geared models were 34", I'm making a note of that in all my manuals. Thanks Andrew and OB. I bought a set of three belts for my 1476 and the place I bought them from assured me they were all the same size, they were not, that's why you buy matched sets. In fact you can go to any parts store and measure two belts of the same size and often there will be a difference in size, it makes a big difference on double and triple pulleys. Thanks again guys.

1 pointReally good and unusual find there. Be interesting to see it 'printed'.

1 pointAlain, Dr Bolens on GTtalk may well know the answer and I think there's a pinned thread on belts within the Bolens forum. Cheers Andrew

1 pointVery nice find Chris. you'll have to be careful if you give these your usual shiny paintwork, Your likely to have seagulls trying to mate with their reflection when you use them! (that's the excuse I give for not painting mine + if they don't shine, the pikey's are less likely to spot them.) These are my discs, part of the 80's wheelhorse 'implement pack': discs; plough and cultivator. I only have the discs and cultivator, I need to fit my 'stubble' plough unit to the frame, all the different implements fit the same beam, you change over the hitch mounting to angle the plough.
