2 pointsHow an they, there's no pink fluffy dice in sight Don't be afraid Andrew, I did ask indeed. Thanks Norm. Thanks James. I agree, it looks meaner without. Don't be sorry Koen, I'm not sure about the hot wheels thing but I do think WN looks better without the lights.. Thanks for all you input guy's, just what I was after.. I think the lights will be staying off, I like the mean look me

Working the horse... For a change
jak3_smith reacted to meadowfield for a post in a topic
In a rare departure, C4 was out this afternoon for some duties in the top field. Firstly pulling out some old fencing buried in the ground, and then moving a a few logs...as well as providing a little light to see. -
1 pointIt was nothing to do with me, Nigel did it while my back was turned I'm thinking maybe in the style of the early Commando decals.. Although WN is kinda a Raider I don't think any of the Raider decals would suit the mean hot rod look..

diggerjames reacted to Ian for a post in a topic
I bet a few curtains were twitching as you drove the turf track down the road The plow looks like it works well -
1 pointThere may be space but only just, it's a bit tight to say the least! Maybe rather than lights a pair of glowing evil eyes Thursday was spent taking WN apart.. A big thank you to Nigel for all you help, it certainly made the job a lot easier As the forklift is too tall to fit in my workshop, the bench (it was on a trolley which is now under the engine) went to the forklift.. Up goes the engine.. With the bench out the way.. The engine was lowered onto the trolley. The naked chassis... And a few of the parts which need cleaning and painting.. Speaking of paint, does anyone know which "Car colour" is closest to WH red?

I'd leave them off, looks a bit like the hotwheels car nobody wanted, sorry -
1 pointIt makes it look like Noddy's car how many wheel horses had lights like that. I suppose if its painted yellow and red it would look OK . it looks meaner with out them

Did a few more hours in the top field. The GT14 even came out to play, though it only just made it up the hill. It's still really only 4x4 territory. Me and the kids did breakfast outdoors too -

Wheel Horse D series tiller
expeatfarmer reacted to HeadExam for a post in a topic
Bought this 50 inch tiller for 200.00, the guy said it was for a D series and I believe it is, seemed to be in good shape. I also bought a Case/Ingersoll 44 inch trip/dozer blade with the lift bar and mounting plate, a 3 point Brinly spring tooth cultivator, and a nice old spike harrow all for 150.00 -

Hello Steve, I have just joined the register, and scrolled to your page of 2014,showing the Vivian Loyd motor sickle, I have bought one in about the same condition of the photo, identical in every detail ,except it is called a "Four Seasons " Scrub Cutter, by " TETTS " of Faversham,Sittingborn, and Sandwich, Yours is probably all restored by now, and I wonder if I could ask you for some tech help and general information, for restoring mine, ? Regards, Pist/on Rust, -

New workshop
jak3_smith reacted to meadowfield for a post in a topic
Short on updates, but decided I needed a proper brew area in the workshop. I recycled two very nice pieces of solid oak and beech worktop for a kitchen area. Bought a hot water heater too, so I no longer need to wash in the stream -

Cub Cadet 70 restoration
jak3_smith reacted to Cub Cadet for a post in a topic
A few more bits done over the weekend and yesterday. Finally started work on the other side of the chassis which was in a worse condition than the other side, we replaced the side in three sections so that the chassis didn't twist. Just before welding in the last piece. Finally finished all of the repairs on the chassis, it just needs its final coats of primer and then I can start on the yellow paint With thanks to my grandad the tyres have been taken off the rear wheels so I can start cleaning them up. Some more bits sandblasted -

Slow progress, what with Xmas and all that. We got distracted with the centre support column and decided it would make a good drill stand/bench grinder stand/ power point. -

I'm in!
jak3_smith reacted to meadowfield for a post in a topic
Some of you know I've been looking to move for over a year, I finally made it last Friday. So now we are out in the countryside just a few miles from Malham. Scenery fantastic, modern conveniences lacking... We are on bottled water, no mobile, Internet or phone line. And get hot water from a tap if I leave the heating on full! Huge plus side, no neighbours, lots of countryside, land and areas to play We've been busy pla...tidying for the last few days. Here's a few pics, I know some of you like them there's videos too, but currently on free wifi and dont have time. -
