Yesterday we had a very busy day moving and cutting up firewood using our 1972 Bolens 1054. Our firewood pile is over 10 foot high in places hence the hard hat. We made a video of the fun -

Thought we would have a social outing to the Autojumble this morning for a cupper and bacon sarnie, you never know what you will find. After having a natter with a few friends i had a rummage on a few stalls and here's the bits I found. A Kohler exhaust, brand new for £2. A box of Wheelhorse bits for £5. Fuel filters for £1 each. A nice little compresser for £25. -

We went today to the show, a long day leaving at 5am and getting in at 8:30pm but well worth it. Good weather although bitterly cold. A good turnout and much more people than last year. These were a few of the things in the auction, lots of ransomes crawlers, the restored ones made strong money at £1900 a piece. the Massey Ferguson mf7 made a jaw dropping £2700! These are some pictures from the show itself. -

Great video Joseph, glad to see all the correct safety equipment being worn ! -
2 pointsGood video Joseph. I'm sure I've seen that Bolens before somewhere, Need to have a think. A little bird tells me that the Showman and Norm are planning a raid sometime soon. They are always on the look out for fire wood.

The Showmans new Toy

Back last summer while I was at a mates barn having a rummage, right at the back in the darkness I found a red tractor that ive never seen before. After a bit of research I found that it was built by Toro for one year and because of poor sales was dropped. The dealer had 10 and offered them at a deal and my mate bought 3. Two were used for a contract that he had then parked up and the third is still new and not assembled. The one I have bought is a Toro GMT 230 1978, It has a Kohler 23 hp engine, hydraulic deck lift and bends in the middle. It was parked up in the barn in the late 90s after doing 170 hours work and left until I spotted it. After fitting a makeshift fuel tank and a good battery it fired straight up with everything working. Have to say i'm chuffed to bits with it and sounds really nice, awesome thing to drive -

Had a spare afternoon today so I thought I would clean the fuel tank on the Toro which is still in the van. I was surprised how heavy it was, once removed I filled it with Caustic soda and left it for an hour then tipped a very brown gunge out then washed it out with the hose. Having a look in the shed I found a gallon of acid concrete cleaner so that was tipped in the tank, after 30 minutes of it bubbling like a witch's cauldron I tipped it out and flushed it out with the hose, finishing off with a hot air gun to dry it out, end result is a very clean tank, not a 100% but much better than it was. -

Picked this up for 100 bucks its a 82cc over built convertible series. Besides chainsaws these could run dirt and Ice augers, drills, and generators, and pumps. they also had an optional gear drive case that bolted on the outside drive case to make it a 3:1 ratio gear drive saw. This came from St George Utah, about 1400 miles from here. I put ome gas in it and it fired up on the third pull, then I gave her the hammer. -

It's just over that with the larger than standard bar that I have. That's almost double what my Stihl 076 AV weighs and I know when I've done a days work with that, it comes from a time when men was men an' women was bloody glad of 'em!
