After what seems a good month on blocks. I finally completed the temporary engine transplant. The donor C-161 had been under a tarp in the garden for 3 years and I gave the carb and fuel pump a good clean when I bolted it on.
The pulley was swapped as for some reason its a larger diameter than normal.
After a few turns and a bit of choke it was back running
As it seems to get dark here at 3pm all my pics are in the dark! Here's hauling some timber down for the fire.
Yes, a good opportunity to buy stuff
That's what I tried to tell the missus
Still got to take stock of what we have.... They might well be though as I've just spent the kids university fund
Won't be using them all, some of it will have to go. The guy wouldn't split it, but wanted what he spent back, importing the NOS.
They might have to go first Ian, I wanted the original GT14 with three point and the cultivator/Harrow,etc. They are too nice to use
Awesome work, that looks fab. Really good replica!
I'm sorry I was moving house and just didn't get the time to help with the decals. Titch does a top job though!
Got the chance mid week to grow the collection. Cue a day off work and 500miles in a day... Got stopped twice by the dibble and had a hellish drive getting home at 3 in the morning. I think it was worth it, but still
recovering from the drive, 2 hour load up and the fact I spent a lot of money. Ewan has been sorting stuff, I haven't really had time. Here's a PIC the day after. And shortly after we reduced the pile. Theres even more goodies to unload and sort through...
