  3. I could do with one of those right angle gearboxes.
  4. I'd be in serious trouble if I did, Rhys. She still wont let me forget about selling the Spitfire. They're simple to drive, Nigel. Even you could manage.
  5. Andrew. Are you thinking of the one Paul got?
  6. The one I'm thinking of had a blue bonnet and reddish/brown mudguards. Don't think it's the same.
  7. I'm having a guess here, but I think this may be the one in East Sussex last year around May. Was up for grabs. Tom may have got it off whoever got it from there.
  8. Nice find Tom. Loader as well. Is it the one from down in Sussex?
  9. I was thinking they were from earlier when it was first started. That explains why it can be seen.
  10. I didn't see you take those photo's Jonathan. Wonder why? Things must have cleared a bit then.
  11. When we took the wheels off, we had a right struggle with them. I found that if you tighten up the bolts after fitting the tyres, the wheel did not want to go back on. Slacken them off and the wheel went on easier. This is due in my opinion, that the clearance in the bolt holes allows the two halves to be a bit out. I tightened the wheel nuts up, then the bolts holding the rims together.

  14. There's certainly no shortage of variety working at J. Cox Ransomes Specialists.
  15. Looks ok, Chris. As for the photo's. Stop putting them down to me wanting them. You just want to show off.
  16. It's the time factor Rhys. We've just over three weeks to get whatever is going to Malvern running. The wheels were in a terrible state. so using a rotary wire wheel to clean them up, was the quicker option. Though a tad dusty.
  17. Those wheels were a right fight to get off. When we came to split them to take the tyres off, we found the bolts were counter sunk slotted screws, with a very narrow, shallow slot. Daft idea. No way could we hold them. Fortunately two wheels had them welded up. That's what's going to happen to the other two.
