  1. I'll be getting stickers. Just need to let Mark/Ewan know what I require.
  2. What we call a finger bar. This side of the Border anyway.
  3. Northern Classic Trial today. I was Section Controller on a section in the morning. Sorry no photo's as I was setting the competitors off. The term Classic has nothing to do with the vehicles taking part, but to the rules under which classic trials are run. Any age and type of motorcycle or car can compete, except four wheel drives. I did get a few photo's at another section in the afternoon. This was a steep, wet and muddy climb, though it doesn't look it.
  4. H&S would love you standing on that topper.
  5. I had a 504 and if I remember right, the deck is just held on by R clips. If you get it off, turn it upside down and soak the bolts in releasing fluid. Or apply some gentle heat.
  6. Just follow the original angle, but take off as little as possible.
  7. Nice work Richard. Can hardly wait to see what it's off. BTW. My father had 'The Book of The Villiers Engine.' When I was 19 it was loaned to an apprentice, where we worked at the time. The dipstick left it in a pub and it had gone when he went to retrieve it.
  8. That first one is a beauty. Both interesting machines.
  9. I made four. I may have one left. I'll check.
  10. Pauls not been on here since July 2017. Hopefully someone may know where he is and let him know. Paul at Meetens may be able to help you. He's quite a clued up and helpful chap. Google Meetens to get in touch.
  11. Unimog has been well looked after. Unless of course it's been refurbished. The Yanmar tractor looks an unmolested and tidy example.
  12. I think a bit more than a service is required.
  13. For some reason, I kind of like that. Maybe the way the plough reverses and the head lights.
  14. Not seen Tufnol for years. Used it quiet a lot in my early toolmaking days in jigs and fixtures.
  15. If all the paints original give it a coat of Owatrol.
  16. You going to do a full refurb, Ewan, or just a sympathetic rebuild.
  17. I do like that Morris. It makes my Heartbeat.
  18. Got another day in the workshop. Sorted and replaced the bonnet. All that's left now are the tach-o-matics to paint and fit. Touch up some bits of paint work and order graphics. Another exhaust will be made later. May not be a stack though. That's it. Horse ready to be put back into harness.
  19. Took time off from working on the kitchen and got into the workshop. Got the 125 from the corner where it's been sitting to wire up the lights and one or two other bits. Lifted the bonnet and where the fingers locate the metal work gave way. Front of bonnet hit the floor. So bonnet is now on the bench. I'll make a re-enforcing plate for it. And of course some paint work to repair.
  20. Coming along nicely, Richard. I've just noticed the piston crown. I've worked on a few two strokes, but never come across a piston like that. Or with a ring at the bottom.
