sten got a reaction from pmackellow in My Solo Multimot collection
Picked up a few more accessories for my Multimot collection this morning. I already have the chainsaw and hedgecutter but very pleased to find a strimmer. Bought from the original owner who bought them new in 1985.

Hi everybody! In case you’re interested, I just listed a Solo Motomot Attachment on Craigslist Rhode Island. It’s in amazing condition. It is like a cultivator

If no one had bothered to save or had an interest in 30 year old stuff years ago we wouldn't have any 'antique' machinery now...

sten reacted to factory in How to add pictures
Here are some screenshots I did a while ago to help with posting pictures.
You can either drag pictures directly into the post editor, or use the choose files option.
Using the choose files option you can select the picture(s) and they will appear at the bottom of the editor.
If you want the picture attached somewhere in the text, click on the place in the text you want to add it & click the + button on the picture.
You can also resize pictures when they are in the text by double clicking on them & editing the sizes.
Hope this helps.

Last year I bought an old DAF 66 estate locally. It's a quirky little old car that is powered by a 1.1 Renault engine with variomatic transmission. It will need some TLC on the sills. The colour is Tundra Green. These are photos of when I got it back in December and have yet to update the photos. Very unusual to find a DAF, let alone an estate. I have sorted out the engine with a service including finding a new alternator. The DAF Owners Club is a gem of a club and have helped me out with a few items.DAF Hobby, in the Netherlands, sourced me the outer sills. Here are some photos for Koen's benefit.

A different venue for a South East Marts collective sale today, Lime End Farm at Herstmonceux near Hailsham in East Sussex
Not much vintage to see, young Harry was eyeing up the early Howard Gem.(photo 7)..
All I purchased was a breakfast roll and a cuppa (Yes Norm just the one)
Here's a few photos of what was there...

Hello, a friend of mine has this mini stationary engine, it is not really my sort of thing and I don't know much about it. Can anyone identify it and some sort of value. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Harry

sten reacted to Wallfish in Homelite XL Tool collection
Homelite tools from the 60's. These were all based using the same 2 stroke engine from the XL-12 chainsaw.
XL-12 Chainsaw, XL-100 Circular saw, XL-A115 Generator, Drill Attachment, XL-SG1 Water pump, XLMB Military Blower. ( I have the XLBC Brush Cutter, but can't find the pics)
Still searching for the earth auger, the Harvester, a better example of the water pump and any other applications

sten reacted to Anglo Traction in Allen scythe brass handlebar end
Right, I have just familiarised myself with what you're looking for. I believe you mean the Hand grip that fits into the end of the Bar. Visible brass If it is a Mk1, If a Mk2 then the brass was covered in black celuloid.
If you can post a good image and accurate dimensions and fixing method, I may be able to help........... if you need any.

sten reacted to expeatfarmer in Period Tow car
Just back from Northampton, been to collect a 1948 Pilot I bought some time ago. I had one when I was a student and always fancied another that I could use a a period towcar for hauling a tractor. It has been in a bubble for 9 years, I winched it on to my trailer but now have to get it to start to be able to take it off the trailer on my own.

sten reacted to Stormin in A couple of old Teclemit grease guns.
Here's one Tecalemit from my late uncles garage. Plus one with no name.
Also another nameless one. At a guess pre war, or even older. Steel body but the rest of it is mostly brass.

Don't know of any originals, or what they look like, but could one be made/fabricated using the Right Hand one as a reference?.
