C-120 refurb.

Recommended Posts

Rear wheels back on and fronts off. Gave them a couple of doses of paint stripper. Bartoline Tx 10. Good stuff. Far better than Nitromorse and a darn sight cheaper. Finished off with wire and flap wheels.

All masked up and ready for painting tomorrow.

Well the C-121 is now up and running.  :D  Still mods to do, but they will get done in time.

Bit different to how it looked almost 12 months ago.

All that's left now is the arrival of the stickers. :fingerscrossed:

Also new tyres when funds allow.

Put the Black Horse in harness today. Sweeping duty after mowing the green and verges with the C-125. Passed with flying colours, but that exhaust is LOUD when you open it up. And I do mean LOUD. I think some redesigning is in order before the neighbours stop speaking to me. :D

One or two little things showed up, Besides the carb needing a rebuild. Right hand axle seal is weeping and also the right hand hub wobbles a bit. The ID of the hub must be ever so slightly bigger than the OD of the axle. It does have odd hubs.

The steering quadrant and pinion need adjusting as well. Bit to much slack.

If your stack is that loud, maybe some Ear Defenders :yankchain: .

I'm sure all would agree there's always a few little niggling issues with a project to 'iron out'. Nothing radical on your list.

Looking forward to seeing it all 'Stickered Up' .

Today I made a couple of mods to the stack today. Shortened it by 4" and made some slight mods to the internals. The exhaust seems a bit more subdued, but I might be imagining it. :D

I also added a little something I picked up at Newby, to the right side of the fender. Photo tomorrow.
