    BOLENS STASH UPDATE

I was very concerned about the third load, not about getting six into the White Whale but locking a Bolens in a confined space with five Wheelhorse's for three hours. I was expecting them not to get on and worried that someone would be loosing a headlight in the fight. However everything was quiet all the way home and they seemed to get on fine Iain

    Yellow Mower Challenge!

Another Milestone this afternoon. Fired up the engine . Burst into life on the 2nd pull and no smoke ! . Had a small fuel leak at the Carb Banjo, found it was a faulty Fibre Washer. Runs fine from Idle to mid Revs, which is all it will do for a Litre of fuel burn until the Rings bed in. Started up 4 times, all on 1st pull and have now got enough heat into it to cure the VHT Paint. Must admit the use of the Aspen Fuel has a very pleasant smell, both neat and when burn.

    BOLENS STASH UPDATE

A few photo's of Iain and Tom's "CRAM - it - IN" Countrywide Removal Service. Any distance, any time. First load. 5 Bolens. Second load. 5 more Bolens, with Iain's ( over the wheel arch's ) platform. Rear wheels removed from 1477 after loading to reduce width. Third load. 1 Bolen and 5 Horses. Lots of bits and pieces also crammed in with each load.

    BOLENS STASH UPDATE

I will post some photo's of the loads tomorrow. Too weary now after answering lots of messages today and arranging visits. Don't think Mr Showman was really trying when he said he could only get four tractors into his sprinter. Some people give up too easily. How about five Bolens on each of two loads, and five Horses and one Bolen on the third load, plus LOTS of bits and pieces with each. Still can't understand why Tom didn't take a Colchester lathe back with him. I could still see a gap above the hoods of the front two tractors. Alan.

    Project "Why Not"

Thanks Norm. Thanks Iain, streaming would be a great idea if it were not for the rubbish internet in the workshop area.. Not even 3G! The good news is I'm slightly more awake than this morning, so here the brake reservoirs that I did remember.. The bit I couldn't remember was the extra bits of angle I welded to the fender pan frame.. I thought it might be handy to have something solid to bolt the seat to Today has been all about getting the brakes working.. Here's the master cylinders all plumbed in.. The blue pipe is air line hose.. I did test to see if brake fluid would eat it away or not but sticking an off cut in a pot of fluid for a few days.. It didn't so I used it Front and rear brake line splitters fitted.. It took a few hours of fine tuning but the strange system does exactly what I want it to do... Only a little air left in the system to get out and the brakes will be done

As many of you know, we are meeting up at tractorfest at Ripon next weekend. As bendy is 90% complete and I'm at work all week, I though I'd best get bendy all shiny and ready. Here's The front lights finally wired. And bendy getting a good wash Loading up tomorrow

    Yellow Mower Challenge!

Spent some time on the 'No Cut' Mower to sort the final bits on the Motor etc. Now got a good bright Spark after a few healthy Pulls. Did a final Tank Flush with neat petrol (shiny clean inside). I put a mesh filter on the Tap in the end, same as the others shown in post on page 4. Hope there are no issues using Apsen4 fuel on these old engines?, but to compensate, I thought I'd treat it to some good ole' original spec Castrol XXL as listed in the Mower's User Manual. Maybe I should check the wind direction when I'm ready to start it up initially, as I suspect it will produce a nice white smoke screen briefly .
