Vinnetrow and one other reacted to the showman for a post in a topic
Early start this morning in thick fog, we arrived at the garden centre and set up the engine and made a coffee, ran the engine for a couple of hours sold a pair of wheels and had a look around and managed to. buy some kohler exhaust plpe connectors. We went into the cafe and had a nice fried breakfast ran the engine again untill 3pm, loaded up and came home. A nice little outing and chilled out. Heres a couple of photos -

That is a bottle cleaning machine, but adapted for cleaning plant pots. Ergo. Still a machine for cleaning bottles. -

what sparkplug
Joe the small engine man and one other reacted to Anglo Traction for a post in a topic
The specified Plug for your engine is Champion RH10C or equivalent. Plugs are graded by temperature i.e. Hot, Med or Cold. RH10C is a cold plug which means the Electrode is partially confined in the Threaded plug bore and does not protrude into the Combustion Chamber. A Cold Plug offers a reduction in the risk of Pre Ignition and is suited to non performance engine types. Here's a link to cross reference Plug types and Brands for the equivalents- http://www.sparkplug-crossreference.com/convert/CHAMP_PN/RH10C Hope this helps. Regards -
2 pointsI suppose i my explain why Make a Wish sent us to Logo Land. Just over a year ago my youngest girl Cariss who was then 5, was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma a rare and aggressive form of childrens cancer. She has had various treatments over the last year to try and stop this cancer but it is being very resilient to all the treatments. When Cariss was diagnosed at the start her big sister Korin wanted to do something to help, so with the help of her older cousins started to organise fund raising events. To date she has raised over £16000 for various cancer charities. She has a page on facebook, https://m.facebook.com/korinsfundraisingevents/?fref=ts which details upcomming events and Cariss' progress. This is Cariss

Picked up another Mayfield Merlin a while back. Brings my count to 3 Been sat in a barn in Essex for many years until a friend of mine took pity on it & saved it. Its complete apart from deck flaps which I have a set. Not made up my mind what I am going to do with it yet. I would consider a deal for a bolens or trojan tractor if anybodys interested -

Project "Why Not"
nigel reacted to Anglo Traction for a post in a topic
Would that be an Exhaust Pulsing Flame set up Ian?.............. Will be good for killing tall weeds ................... Bit of Overkill just to light up a 'Rolly' Short of iffy circuit or earth/ground connections, the Coils aren't chucking out enough juice?. -
1 pointJust wait until I see her. What's it worth to keep quiet.

1 pointWell... It's been a while since I've done a Why Not update and not much has been happening really.. Part of the kit I bought fried its self, so I made my own.. Ready to be bolted on.. Bolted in place under the fender pan.. There is plenty of space around the coils, it's just a badly taken photo that makes it look otherwise! And a bit of spark testing... I am getting a spark, just enough of a spark! Any ideas?

1 pointAlso been doing a little digging into the company which started making these machines. The Raven Engineering Co Ltd were in fact quite a small operation. Running their offices from what would appear to have been a residential property, and the works from a nearby small workshop. Here is a copy of the email I received yesterday...... Dear Darren Thank you for your intriguing query sent in via the website. To be honest, I had never come across Raven Engineering until now. However, I found the following entry in the 1956 Outer London (West Middlesex) Phone Book. These two locations are close to each other at their back entrances (see attached map). As you can see from the attached, the 11 St John's Road premises are residential although I guess Raven were using them as offices (and hence the two phone numbers?). You'll see that a work/live Unit has been squeezed in next door at 11b and there was a very small single story workshop there before, maybe when Raven were there too. 29 High Street (also attached) has had a very varied history: airplane propellers in WW1, parts for cockpit of the Kingston-built Hawker Hurricane in WW2, Celestion Ditton speakers between the two and more recently some of the scenery for the film Alien. But I haven't come across any other Raven Engineering stuff I'm afraid. Best regards Ray Ray Elmittauthor of Hampton Wick: Brick by Brick and other books available now at: http://www.hamptonwickhistory.org.uk/HamptonWickHistory/Publications.html He also sent me some photographs of the relevant buildings and a small map showing the location, plus the phone book entry.

1 pointEmail sent The Ohlsson & Rice section of this forum has been linked all around the net on US sites and some international sites as well. It is the only active forum on the entire net (as of now anyway) for O&R compact engines so posting stuff for sale on here is still an excellent way to reach other collectors. Our old site, before we moved here, had many members from around the world although most were from the US. I just wanted to let any other potential members who are interested in O&R engines know this.
