We had a great day at Tractor fest on Saturday and it was fantastic to catch-up with everyone. Thanks Norm for letting me borrow your C81, lovely tractor. Joseph took a few pictures When we reviewed the pictures this was our favourite, Andrew with a bucket on his head :-)

    Wheelhorse Roundup at Tractorfest Biddenden

Thanks Chris for all your work, the tea, coffee, banter etc. I expect there will be more comments about my suspenders from a certain American friend. A few more photo's of mine. Pam said she wanted more twigs for her wood store, so Chris was wondering how to get this lot home.

I put up tarps on three sides of the fence to protect the corn, but that didn't stop two tornado's from sucking the kernels off the cob, the green beans never produced a bean, the peppers and onions didn't produce or grow, but the radishes, yellow squash, zucchini, tomatoes, and cucumbers did exceptionally well. We are getting a dozen cherry tomatoes and four or five Romas a day off three plants. I have four more Roma plants just starting to produce and ttwo beefsteak plants also ready to produce. I also have 5 other varieties about 6 inch tall and doing well. We got over two dozen large zucchini's this year and four or five times that of the yellow squash. I only had four cucumber plants, but we have gotten a couple dozen, about a fourth of them are odd short fat ones and the rest are beautiful 9 inchers. The two watermelon plants have produce four large Black Diamond melons over 25 lbs, we got two and the raccoons got two.

I told you Joseph, us bolens men are not scared of wheel horses or there owners. Instead of me driving my crawler round the ring I just mugged Harry for his D200 to tame . That thing does have a mind of its own in the hydro dept Great pics guys That mini D200 of Alans is the dogs

Good set of photos Paul thanks for posting them. It was a bit disappointing, out of 15 booked in only 12 bothered to turn up !!!. at least all the 12 that turned up were all different and I think all the exhibitors had a good time. Thanks to the dedicated few that supported me and the show

We saute the yellow squash and zucchini with a little olive oil in one of our three air fryers (best invention ever, real fried chicken without any oil), or we cut them up small with tomatoes, onions and cucumbers and add a vinaigrette oil. We (the wife) also make zucchini noodles and put Alfredo or primavera sauce on them, carb free Italian.

The tomatoes keep coming 12 cherry tomatoes again today and 8 Romas. The zucchini, squash, and cucumbers are really starting to produce. This picture is of Saturdays picking, but I had not picked in four or five days.

I saw one photo Norm of the Showman's Bolens towing a WHeel Horse at RPT. A great photo imo. Harry, you have lost the game already before it started ! That will spur Chris on to get that HT20 pulling...
  16. 1 point
Game on! That's if the ht20 is reliable enough

Sorted now. Chris testing towing attachment. Bolens ran out of puff. Seeing Bolens being sorted was a common site.

Tidy job and good to see the Bolens hauling that load with ease. I must get my HT20 steering sorted and I know of just a chap to sort that out for me......

Yes, it does not give the impression that these machines are built to last. I think there should be more of a focus on keeping good machines going, encouraging an industry of aftermarket parts like that of classic cars, rather than this idea of "just buy a new one".

Maybe the showmans new project ?

His Rowcrop just needs larger wheels. And a ladder so he can climb onto it.
