  1. You just may George. It's only 160 miles up the road. Travel Lodge methinks.
  2. 9am and decided to chance it and have a run down this morning, as it was nice and sunny. 75 plus miles and 1-1/2 hours later I arrived. Still sunny. Met up with Mark Smith (meadowfield) and Ewan (Cub Cadet) and had a bit of a wander round. They went to pack up the tent and I did a bit more wandering. It's a big show with plenty to see and well spaced out. BTW. In my rush to leave home I forgot my camera. I found my way to the Smith camp and met Fatha, (Norlet), and the rest of the clan. That's when the rain started and forgot to stop. Leaving the Smiths I did a bit more wandering, then left for home. I may enter and go for the weekend next year. Be cheaper than the £14 to get in.

    C-120 refurb.

Had to change the lift wire. Basically because the cable clamps were a little big. Fitted some spare heavy duty electric fence cable left over from in the silage pit Two clamps each end. Lifts the plough without problem now.

    Plough.

You don't want a MK3 then? Pity, I was going to knock up another 3 for RPT. Don't think I get more right than that Chris. But I am going to put another three holes in. You never know, they might be needed for something.
  5. I have Koen. Got them off one Chris brought up to Newby Hall last year. I'll see if a can take a photo and send it to you. Unless Mark has something better.
  6. At a guess, that's a Raleigh in the first photo.
  7. Do one something similar to the one I've made, Koen.
  8. I like the two legged one in the middle.
  9. Nice, Koen. That's what I was thinking.

By George, George, I think we've cracked it. The MK3 version. Sitting 7-1/2" high. Pin in 10" hole. Plough sitting flat on the ground. Adjustment about half way. Plough would go lower if tractor higher. So I think I could plough 7 - 8 inch deep?

Thanks for that, George. Something like that did cross my mind. If I'd hydraulics and lift arms I would have done. I'll see what I can do. I'll get there eventually.

If by plough hitch the square block on the plough, George. It will go inside the grey box. I'll try it tomorrow. I'd need some flat bar to go in the slot hitch, Chris. I want some more anyway. Leave it with me and I'll see what I can do.

The disc will be going on. If you lower it, I think you'd have to lower the hitch or have a longer hitch. And arms like Popeye. I'd leave it as is. I'm trying to work out if reducing the height of the box, on the hitch where the pin goes through, would improve things.

I know one thing, it's flamin' 'eavy. I'll have to get the dumb bells out or work out some spring assistance to lift it. May have to reverse to get it out of the ground.

I'm posting here George, rather than a PM, as your advice and comments may help others. Not just me. I've re-made the hitch, as ground clearance when traveling was very little. The next photo is it on 7-1/2" boards with plough fully down. Plough is not touching the ground. Front tip is 1-1/4" off the ground and rear is 1". I cannot get the plough level as no more adjustment. This last photo is of plough in position as if to start ploughing. I'm guessing here, that from my measurements, the plough will drag itself down to 6". Distance from share to inside of rear wheel is 6-1/2 inch. From your figures, guessing again, depth would be approx. 4". Again, your comments, suggestions and advice greatly appreciated.
  19. That's nice. I like the rear blade.
  20. She should have fire resistant overalls as well. You don't want to set her fur on fire.
  21. I think the grill looks OK, Ian.
