    Cub Cadet 70 restoration

Well it's about 99.9% finished, the fenders and a few other bits have now been bolted on ready for tomorrow's show so here are a few photos. The original number plate has now been put back on.

    Cub Cadet 70 restoration

After using up all of the stock of yellow paint from my local ag merchant they ordered some more from another one of their stores, two days later it arrived and it was a different brand of paint somewhere along the line the paint code got lost so in desperation we made a 60 mile round trip (thanks mum) to another ag merchant and I finally got the paint meaning the last parts could be painted . I made a new gasket for the transmission. The wiring has now been finished and the lights work The bonnet got its final coat of paint and my IH wheel weights arrived (thanks @Charlie Smith) And here it is, nearly finished just a few little bits left to bolt on but it starts and runs like new! I'm very happy

    New workshop

Well it was all go at 8am this morning, 4 wheelbarrows 2 cube down in about 30min. Neighbours were chuffed Note the temporary barrier to keep the dog out, for some reason he loved lying on the damp proof before the concrete was poured.

Definetely a 'Show Stopper'. The next project will need to be a cabinet to house the trophies and cups you're going to win! Well done!, a beautifull machine.

    More old Hayterette. Carb.

Hi lads. I have fitted the new diaphragm as per the above, no issues fitting it. I am still not getting any fuel through to the combustion chamber at all, the plug is dry as a bone. I know the engine runs as I poured petrol down the carb. This only worked once only, but it did run fine for a minute. Obviously a blockage somewhere ? Help please.

    Small Scythe Mower

I saw this machine at the Selwood Rally, Nr Trowbridge, Wilts last weekend. It turns out to be a Cyclo made by Cylinder Developments, this one is a Mk III P as it has a driven wheel, the Mk III H has no drive to the wheels. Engine is a Villiers Mk 2G, 70cc two stroke. Cutter bar is the same as a Merry Tiller, I've posted a picture of my Merry Tiller with it's cutter bar for comparison....

That's 'kin lovely Ewan! If I have to have an iconic image of an American GT, the original Cub Cadet is the one that I always think of ( after the Bolens of course !). Absolute credit to you and I can't wait to see your next project. Enjoy!
