Good weather for painting so the frame and the sides got a coat of paint after being primed yesterday.

That will be interesting to see, hav'nt you got a Bolens on tracks, oh never mind you might be able to pull it

This is the roller that was free to a good home from Cromer,

Three Billy Goats which have been lurking in a lean to hoping to avoid being seen. 2 x 5hp 1 x 3hp Spares or repair. Two engines pull over. The starter cord on the third is fully extended / jammed. No bags or suction hoses. £30 for all three. Collection from near Cranliegh, Surrey.

Impressive video of two iconic garden tractors going through their paces. I would not want to subject my Bolens to this harsh treatment but it just goes to show how rugged these little tractors are.

Little and large together...

I had another look at the roller last night and it looks like it would come apart easily and would not take a lot to change the width of it. I did take a better picture that shows that but I am still unable to post pictures ATM. I need to move it at the weekend so I will hook it up to a tractor to move and to take some pictures which should give a good idea of what it looks like behind a GT and if it needs to be narrowed. The hard bit will be finding a tractor with the same capabilities as a WH without removing lots of features from a Bolens Iain

Talked about if for a while, made a start on fixing the rear drive. bought some 78mm laser cut discs and turned them down. The idea being I can use washers to keep the chain on the sprockets to stop it riding over the edge

As I've a lot of tools and Halfrauds were doing a deal I've just bought this bad boy Half price, should tidy things up for a while...

Before the Smallholders Show I had been offered a smaller version of the above (12"Gardener model, see brochure above) , this was duly delivered on the Saturday of the show. I've been cleaning it up and laying some paint on it today, it looks a bit tidier and will compliment the other one , its about the same age so early 90's
