    Period Tow car

Fired up and ran for the first time in 8 years today. I was expecting clouds of smoke but not bad at all. Went for a drive around the villages , it has some grunt and pulls well. Burbles nicely in top gear. Next thing to tackle is to replace/repair one of the exhaust manifolds which is cracked through as they were prone to do both have been repaired before, one well done the other badly and it leaks.

    Rake - brush thingy.

Elongated the holes in the brackets today and while doing so I had an idea. Instead of fitting the keys inside of the brackets, I fitted them on the outside. This made fitting them easier. All ready to test. The result after a trial run on the leaf covered lane past next doors gate. That was after several runs. I found going in reverse was best. Although it cleared quite a lot of leaves, it was not the result I was hoping for. I think there was two problems. (1) The leaves were soaking wet. (2) The rough nature of the lane. I think a better result would be had with dry leaves. Also on a flat surface like a concrete yard.

    1975 Wheel Horse D200

I only collect single cylinders, but I ended up winning the auction on this Wheel Horse D-200 twin cylinder at a very reasonable price. So now I see a Bolens HT20 in my future as well. Someone took two Brinly single gang discs and a Brinly three point sleeve hitch adapter and married them to make a nice double gang disc.

    1975 Wheel Horse D200

A good buy at that price and no I didn't know about the thrust washers. I am excited about your forthcoming Bolens HT20 when you source one. If it is like anything like the others you have collected it will be a fabulous example.

    Bolens 850

Last weekend I collected my 850 from Chris and at the same time dropped off his 600 and an engine I picked up for him a while back. Good to have a catch up with Chris too.

    some more plough cam

the reason i dont use a disc coulter is simple, i dont have one as for the adjustments there's the handle on the top of the plough for depth and a swivel point on the hitch part for leveling it. and the 3 holes in the hitch of course
