Well it’s funny how this is starting to look considering every part of it except the engine has come off the scrap pile, ime quite liking it, now I will make a point this is supposed to look ratty and won’t be up the the standards of the showmans or my previous builds and was never intended to be, oh yes and the steering wheel will be lower 😂

I’ve got a McCormick G30R in at the moment. Very good machines I think. Very compact and versatile.

It’s been a slow project but finally on the home stretch. A big THANKS to Wallfish for getting me going with the bones of this really cool saw. With his advice I was able to harvest an engine and a few other parts from an old Orline Mustang. Original paint was too far gone for a refresh so it was time for a complete restoration. Webhead is fixing me up with a hook screw for the muffler since this saw has the little exhaust collector extension and it needs to be about 3” long. I was able to find some cable conduit in the right diameter and made a new throttle cable for it. Hopefully when Titch has some time maybe he can get a decal made up as the finishing touch. I had forgotten about the bark rest piece until Wallfish reminded me and of course I’d already finished painting everything else so that piece is late to the game but drying now (it’s already 104 in AZ so dry time should be faster). Finding a good paint match was a bit more challenging than I thought it would be, must have gone through about four different reds and 6 yellows but I think I landed on a pretty good match all said and done. Yellow is really hard...

NICE! Makes me want to paint mine yellow instead of all red. Or better yet, I want my parts back now!

21hp 4 wheel drive . front and rear lift linkage hydro drive with a cruise control! 3 cylinder kubota engine . Bl##dy annoying seat switch which kills engine every time you move in the seat . If it was mine that would have to go. lol.

Bit of an update on this. My boss is talking about clearing out the garage where this lives and scrapping it. I'm trying to persuade him that it is worth hanging onto until this virus thing is finished and someone could collect it. I have said that I would deal with getting rid of it. Any money raised would go to the amenity fund of the care home where I work, this pays for activities/trips for the residents. I would like to get an idea of value, maybe that would persuade him it was worth keeping for a bit. Thanks.

How about some info on the McCormick? Looks like a handy machine. Also if that's rhubarb I see, I wish we had some like that here.
