Hi,
Thanks for the reply, I also want to do it to some of my working implements and tractors. I had a quick look on the website, did you get polytrol or just standard owatrol oil?

Hi,
That looks great, I keep meaning to try this stuff, it really brings the colour out. Where did you get it from? Does it go very far?
Tom
-
Wow there were some good deals to be had there! Anyone know how much the kubota went for?
Tom
-
I thought you might get that one Iain, I look forward to seeing some pictures of it!
Tom
-
Wow great find Chris, I have never seen one of those before. I look forward to seeing this project develop
Tom
-
Some nice stuff there, thanks for the pictures. Do I spot a little kubota B6000?
Tom
-
I know Ian, I don't blame you either, she's a beauty for sure
Tom
-
Thanks Ian, it is a cool bit of kit I have to admit It certainly would have been nice, hopefully see you in the summer at some shows!
Tom
-
Thanks Ian, I am really enjoying it. I would be more than happy to trade the 312-8 for your GT14

Hi Iain,
That's great, I appreciate it. You are talking roughly a foot at the hitch end. I'm hoping the barford is similar, I know Mark converted one but it wasn't an adjustable one like this. I will checks my barford plough tomorrow.
Tom
-
Too right I would Chris, I am going to try my best to make it. Like I have said to Iain, he is more than welcome to come down with me
Tom

Hi Iain,
You are definitely right. The only reason I am installing a slot hitch is because I have one and I haven't got a sleeve hitch! For now I will install a slot hitch with an adaptor to make it accept sleeve hitch attachments.

I put the cultivator behind the 312-8 today just to try it, it works well and will work even better when the tines and wheels are adjusted. The ground was too wet for any cultivating really, I can't wait till we get better weather.
The 312-8 still amazes me at its capabilities and I am very impressed by it. I would love to add 26x12x12 tyres in the future or even some wheel weights. Once our workshop has been finished I am going to de-grease it and wash it right down and give it a good service. I would like to renew engine oil and transmission oil, new air filter, new spark plug, new fuel filter, renew grease in spindles and front axle pivot, weld up hi-low lever, add slot hitch and cable, fabricate a battery holder, either replace or repair seat, potentially add some lights, just give it a birthday really It won't be going anywhere so I want to make it nice.

Hi Iain,
If you do get a chance to measure it that would be great, if not I will pop round soon anyway, I can also have a peek at your digger and all your tractors!

It had entered my mind Neil, it has an independent clutch so the only fabricating you would need to do is for the lift mechanism. I am still thinking as to how it could be fitted to the wheel horse without cutting and changing the cylinder mower as I still want to use it on my barford atoms.
Tom
I had also thought about doing this, the only thing that concerned me is that the plough sits quite high off of the ground, I have never seen a Brinly plough in person so I dont really know how high they sit either. Does anyone know roughly how high they sit off of the ground? The cultivator on the other hand would be easy to fit on a wheel horse as it has a frame on top with a lever which enables you to bring the cultivating tines off of the ground and just tow it. Tom

Hi,
Up for sale is my little barford atom mechanical Gardener with a tool bar and a scythe. It has a villiers MK10 engine, I have had it running but will most likely need a carb clean. The picture is as I bought it and it has been dry stored since. I have a new throttle for it too. Nice little tool. I am asking £100 or near offer. Collection is Norfolk.
Tom

It looks great, I bet you are very pleased with the outcome!

Villiers engine has sold and been collected.

Thanks all for your great comments, I am very pleased with the attachments. I was speaking to Nigel and I am going to do my best to attend Rural past times so hopefully I can give some of these attachments a workout!

I am roughly 30 miles, but sometimes work out that way.

Hi all,
First off I would like to say a big thank you to Nigel who has kept these bits for me as I couldn't get down South for a few weeks, so thank you Nigel!! I actually bought these implements around a month ago off of a guy who was selling some barford atom stuff to make room for other things. Anyway here are some pictures:
Really happy with this haul, I've never seen a cylinder mower before and the discs are quite rare. Plus the cultivator frame is complete which again is quite rare as they are usually incomplete. Hopefully I can get some of it hooked up to my barford atoms soon and have a play!

That looks great Mark, nice setup! Would also be interest in more details as to how it all works.
Tom

Great buy Iain, I bet you won't be disappointed, a very nice little tractor. I'm glad you're bringing it this way
Tom
-
Thanks for the help guys, I will hopefully get out into the workshop tomorrow night and see what I can do, I will let you all know how it goes.
Thanks again,
Tom

Hi,
If my timing was out would it still run nice though? It runs very smoothly it's just the flame issue. I will de-carbon the head one evening this week and put a better exhaust on it.
Thanks,
Tom
