  1. Saw the skimmer today. I thought it looked smaller in the photo's, than the one I attempted to demolish the garage with. The reason for that is the yellow one has tracks 18 inch longer. Possibly done when the Ford engine was fitted, to balance things out. The Ford was further back. As for the MG40, I really liked that. Possibly because it is painted green. Starts and runs well also. CAROL? Pretty please?
  2. I had one of those years ago. A bigger version though. Chain drive and ag' tyres. A real beast and could cut down gooseberry bushes. Engine went bang one day and I scrapped it. Rear axle was lying up at the farm for years, then given to someone on here last year, who was doing one up.
  3. Call me old fashioned if you will. I've been called worse. I've never bought anything off E-bay. I like to see what I'm paying for before I part with my money.
  4. Silly me. I was thinking ITW. Could it be the track its self? I know it could be a bit of a faff, but how about disconnecting the track and seeing if the drive sprocket turns?
  5. I can remember my father vulcanising a patch on a motorcycle inner tube. G clamp, tin lid with meths in and a match.
  6. My first thought is seized chain. Maybe a link or links on a sprocket.
  7. Skimmer seems to look smaller with auger etc fitted. You sure that new garage will be big enough, Jonathan?
  8. Why a new frame? The cast sides look the dogs whatsits.
  9. Nearly called in at Jonthans this morning. Just as well i didn't. Pleased you got it loaded OK.
  10. I think in the last photo she's saying' "It wasn't me. Honest!"
  11. What's that saying about Yorkshire men? Strong i'th arm. Weak i'th 'ead.
  12. What make of engine is in the diesels, Alain?
  13. Myrtle?? Poor dog getting lumbered with a name like that. Who the heck names your dogs.
  14. Been ok over this way, Mark. Misty start this morning and humid. Then scorching hot all day. Just grand for erecting Carol's new studio and felting the roof.
  15. What about one of those robot mowers the council use, Jonathan? Very expensive I know. A late friend of mine fixed a strimmer to the front of his ride on for mowing a short bank in his garden.
  16. Some proper cafe racers there, Nigel. Those were the days.
  17. Great photo's Doug. Really good display of steamers. Thanks for posting.
  18. Good photo's George. Couldn't make it up this year. Maybe next year.
  19. I like the harrow's for extra weight on the rear wheels.
  20. You can get spindles and bearings here, Richard.
  21. Very much so. I've not seen any with the teeth, but plenty like Chris's. Cambridge roller is the given name over here.
  22. I really like that. Well done.
