Rear Axle Dual Wheel Kit
pmackellow and 2 others reacted to the showman for a post in a topic
I was lucky enough to be offered these the other day, they are 12 inch early narrow type wheels, the primer ones are Wheelhorse and the outer ones have 4 stud holes which I will weld up and re drill, depending which way round the inner wheels go, touching or with a gap -

Triumph66 and one other reacted to pmackellow for a post in a topic
"Dear LAGT magazine The Third UK Wheelhorse roundup took place at the Newby Hall rally in North Yorkshire after two successful years in Sussex. A variety of machines were on display with over 30 Wheelhorses booked to attend. Amongst those entered were our 1968 Commando 8 with Cyclone spreader. There were also custom machines such as the Rowcrop tractor and Trackhorse from Chris Sutton and Project C4 4WD machine from Mark Smith. As with many UK events this year Newby Hall was disrupted by bad weather but we will be going back to do the 560 mile round trip to next years show" (I did send more than two photos, these were the two that were printed) -

Working in the woods
Triumph66 and one other reacted to meadowfield for a post in a topic
Decided on a bit of a tidy up today, so put the horses to work in the woods moving a few tons of stone. Some pieces were pretty big and required special treatment....project bendy handled it with ease Here's a few pics and a video... http://youtu.be/La0LFlOp6a0 -

My kids will play... No.2 dug his C-121 out on leaf sweeping duties last week and sent me the pics when I was at work. -
1 pointA holesaw worked wonderful, i needed two 51mm holes in 20mm plate in the end as i decided to use a piece of thick tube as a sort of bushing to spread the load. I melted a Bosch drill in the process and the Makita drill is not sounding quite as fresh as it did, but the hole saw has all its teeth and still sharp which i was surprised so i drilled a further two 51mm holes in some 6mm thick angle for a brace the other side aswell. 54mm hole in 20mm plate. I'm adapting a forklift frame to fit my MF50b digger so i can move pallets of bricks, bulk bags of sand ect. with much welding and lots of thick bits of steel i have achieved what i set out to do. Only been putting this off for nearly 3 years. Holding the frame to the front bucket with a ratchet strap always seemed the easier option

It is. My C-125 next to it. Chris (Showman) 's row crop and dozer. Two up from the dozer is the C-120 that somehow found it's way onto my trailer. -

Morning all, as you know yesterday was shack contents moving day, and what a long day it was!! I didn't take too many photo's as we were a bit busy, but here's a few.. My "extended bed" Saxon trailer with the first load.. The trailer being loaded up with a heavier load.. The shack looking a bit emptier.. The moving crew.. well, most of them.. Pete, Rob and Chris.. The other helper known as Mr Pickles did a runner as soon as the camera came out I will get some photo's of the empty shack, but here's a couple of the slightly full new workshop.. I've got a bit of sorting out to do me thinks So, a big THANK YOU to Chris, Pete, Rob and Mr Pickles for all your help yesterday, I couldn't of done it without your help -

That looks fantastic Nigel, thanks mate No worries Craig, it would be a bit of a journey for you to get here Me too Thanks Richard, yes I am very lucky having a good friend/neighbour called Nigel.. I wouldn't be able to do this shack move without Nigel's fantastic help, so thanks mate, your a star The deal is Nigel has rented the new place and I'm renting half of it from Nigel. It says.. The Shack Revisited The bars on the windows I can cope with, not so sure on the seasonal lights though A couple of photo's from yesterday.. The big bench is down.. Which means Project "Why Not" is a roller -

Yellow Mower Challenge!
Ian reacted to Anglo Traction for a post in a topic
Thanks Ray, and I'll check out what's local when I get around to sorting the Treads, just in case my plans and application fails . Bit slow with just a brief update so far, mainly due to a few assembly problems I found. Main one being the L/H Threaded Freewheel/drive Pinion retaining screw (red arrowed in first pic) will no longer fully screw in comfortably. Suspected the internal thread was damaged when the Cylinder/Blades were held 'Between Centres' on various machines when rebuilt, so I have had to obtain a 1/4" L/H BSF Tap to recut the threads (in the post). The right hand side, I was able to deal with as it is standard R/H Thread and I had a Tap for that. The main Drive Chain (yellow arrow) needs replacing really, as it is slightly stretched and won't allow proper tension adjustment, having probs locating the exact spec chain (type 415 med duty). It is what is holding up the whole L/H Wheel assembly One of the mods I had to make was the addition of a Bronze Bushing (blue arrow) to carry the newly made Clutch Guide Rod, as the hole was 'Egged Out' (more on this in next update) - Another observation I had made was when I fitted the Cylinder, there was a noticeable lack of clearance between the end of some of the Blades and the 1/2" Whitworth Stub Axle retaining nuts, too close for my liking, so I machined off the surplus ends of the nuts that did not engage with any thread to increase the clearance- I've managed to finish most of the prep and painting of the remaining parts and are currently 'hardening up' at the moment (upper Handlebars had a lot of prep work due pitting). Several other bits awaiting delivery, had a job finding suitable Bar Grips, but the ones I eventually found will look ok and hopefully will start to look more complete by the end of the coming week and will post more pics then. -
