Also had a small pressie from the 'postie' arrive today, all the way from Australia! Have placed the ones on the fuel tank and chain cover. Will fit those to the grass box in a couple of days, once the paint has hardened. And with the freshly painted box fitted.

Found this little saw last week, its a Kennedy power hacksaw bench mounted and uses broken hacksaw blades and cuts up to 50 mm. Its 110 volt and when I first turned it on i used a long stick as it had been laying around for a while but it works fine. It soon goes through metal and is fascinating to watch. All i got to do now is find a use for lots of 1 inch bar cut an inch long

I have a job on my hands, this 50's classic needs saving, tomorrow I will be trying to free it from its tomb of 40 odd years, I will keep you informed of progress if there is any interest.

As some of you know Norm and myself have been messing around with ploughs, the ploughs we have are the same and very heavy, Norm very kindly made me a hitch the same as his and the plough fitted and worked very well, the only problem was lifting it with a cable from the deck handle. Norm has a spring on his but makes it awkward so I've made a longer cable and moved it back near the plough for better leverage and it seems to work much better

Found a pair of wheels for the front of a future Wheelhorse project. Seems to be the latest mod to fit hubs and narrow rims to the later Wheelhorses. These are heavy duty ones and in good shape

Hi All update on Blair's garden beginning to look like a garden now Tried harrow but was pulling out to many stones plan B used rake that was made for to fit rear lift worked a treat so that is the way to go hope next week will get some grass seed sown hope you like

Be careful what you ask for, I put a wanted ad in the Wessex Stationary Engine club newsletter for a Clinton 900 engine, I got a reply from a chap who has a complete Merry Tiller Professional. I went and bought it today and it is complete! It's in good nick as well!

Should be a model 1-0300 then. Not an issue with having the 2 extra fixings for bolting the engine in, had to be done as the old engine is obsolete. Your Tractor was the last of the 'Short Frames' and was actually a Transition model. The Bonnet/Hood is the new (at the time) 'Long Hood', but the old short frame had extensions added to carry the New Hood hinges. The original Techy was mounted using an Adaptor Plate to get the right Shaft height and so the frame had very few holes predrilled for various engine types. mine also was green underneath a hand painted red and is in the process of being repaint green it once was, came from a local loch keepers in Scotland

Something could be causing a lean condition which does cause that to happen. ( such as: running out of gas, dirt in carb, clogged screen in tank, pinched fuel line, you get the idea) Also be sure the governor arm is secure to the carb and not bent or rubbing anything. Be sure the butterfly is closing and not binding when the cable is moved to idle position. The cable can sometimes slip off and not push it closed There are not separate circuits for idle and high speed
