In my experience 90% of the time cleaning the points will get the spark back. Hope the carb is ok as that type can be a bit of a pain to work on and tend to leak fuel when the engine is not running. -

Check the points, pull the flywheel -
2 pointsThe majority of the trucks work for a living and I believe the drivers spend a lot of time cleaning and preparing them for the event. Video of the return We had a 2nd camera for the outward journey which shows some better detail. Not sure who parked that Discovery at the side of the road

Looks like a B and S off a merry Tiller, the only cut out is the little flap next to the spark plug. Firstly try the obvious, clean up the plug and check the plug gap or try a different one, then take off the cowling and clean up the coil where it meets the flywheel, and check the gap between coil and flywheel. They are fairly bombproof engines, so if you still have no spark, it is probably the coil. Joe. -
1 pointWhen mowing the green and verges, the grass is seldom dry. If I waited for it to be fully dry, it would never get done. Consequently the grass cuttings stick to the turf tyres on the C-125. When they come off during mowing they lie in unsightly lumps or strips. Also the pattern of the turf tyres makes them a pain to clean. I've decided to try an experiment. I'd the original rear wheels, complete with ag tyres off the Black Horse in storage. So these are now fitted to the C-125. We'll see how things go next time I mow, in maybe a week or so. Another thing I've tried, is to repair a tyre valve on one of the wheels. The valve must have got knocked when in storage and the rubber was partly broken. Push the valve to one side and air came out. This was repaired with super glue yesterday. To date it is holding air again. We'll see how long it lasts.

Cleaned the flywheel and coil and couldn’t see a spark but got a Jult of the plug when I held it and pulled it over . Cleaned the tank out and got a load of crap out . Now not sure if I’m getting fuel in the carb that’s my next step . -

1 pointWith the clutch now free I couldn't wait to get it back together. I gave the end of the crankshaft and inside the clutch a light clean and reassembled everything. Using the manual I checked the position of the brake pad and then fired up the engine. Pulling on the clutch lever I was glad to see the drive to the gearbox stop turning, low, high and reverse gears all worked as did the rotor drive. Time for a play (I mean test run). Given how hard the ground is it worked very well. I will change the engine and gearbox oils next before putting it to work. I asked my father how long the 350 has been parked up for and he said he couldn't remember, we've been trying to work it out but the best we can come up with is somewhere in excess of 15 years. My father bought this Howard 350 new when I was still at primary school and I have fond memories of watching him working it every year. It's nice that after a bit of tinkering it is still capable of a days work.

1 pointI like the early Ford Capri. I had a metallic blue one. Also three of the white Cortinas. All 2.0 ltr. One again metallic blue, One orange GT and a metallic brown estate. Weak point was the camshafts. The lobs wore pretty quickly. Easy to change though.

Finally, Proof That Turtles Can Climb

1 pointThanks mates, I have a desire to grow all our food for the health benefits and self reliance. The soil is great black topsoil with lots of aged cow manure. The paleness comes from grass clippings that I spread out to hold moisture, hinder weed growth, and add nutrients into the soil
