    Homelite XL Tool collection

Homelite tools from the 60's. These were all based using the same 2 stroke engine from the XL-12 chainsaw. XL-12 Chainsaw, XL-100 Circular saw, XL-A115 Generator, Drill Attachment, XL-SG1 Water pump, XLMB Military Blower. ( I have the XLBC Brush Cutter, but can't find the pics) Still searching for the earth auger, the Harvester, a better example of the water pump and any other applications

    Homelite XL Tool collection

Finally found the last item I'm aware of for the collection. These Lewis winches were made for Homelite and these blue ones seem to be super rare. It's the same winch as the common orange units but the blue Homelite paint makes it a better fit for the collection. Just need the small drive belt which the seller forgot to add in the box but is sending. Probably find a nicer power head to switch this on to as well.

Hoping to maybe see a couple test samples in the mail from Eric this week. For $10 the Olfa does a fair job.

    Warsop pump

I won this on ebay a few weeks ago. To be honest I took pity on it and decided that I would bid the starting price (£22) if no one else wanted it... Since I took the photos I've pressure washed it so it looks a bit better, albeit with a little less paint... the engine is a Villiers C12 so I'm guessing it dates from the 70's. I'm not sure if there is a connection between the Leicester 'Warsop' company that manufactured petrol drills and breakers and Warsop pumps?

    Tarpen generator

After a wipe over with an oily rag. Running and generating, I disconnected the governor spring and set the speed/output with the throttle stop screw.

    Tarpen generator

This is the new project I mentioned in another thread. It's a Type 40, 110V DC, 400W. It appears to be complete but obviously hasn't run for a while. The first job will be be a session with the degreaser and pressure washer. Can anyone give an approximate year to it?

    Tarpen generator

Gave this a clean today, how does so much oil end up on the outside of a 2 - stroke machine I'm erring towards getting it running and generating (with luck) and doing an 'oily rag' resto rather than repainting it.

    Chainsaw Shelves Nearly Full

I have one on the bench in restoration process and another one possibly coming soon. Other than the Montgomery Wards 2.3 Featherweight (Remington Yardmaster) they are all the lowest productions Homelite models made between 1965 and 1980

Also have this Cutoff saw grinder. Same idea as the XL-100G but this is an attachment to the chainsaw compared to a specific manufactured tool.

    Homelite XL Tool collection

Added some more pieces to the Homelite powered tool collection. Upgraded to a better example of the XLS Water Pump. The old one had a broken handle and was missing the gas tank. An XL-12 toy chainsaw with box And a Millitary version of the XL-A115 generator.
