I am working with my County Youth Services to conduct field trip for disadvantaged youths to visit my tractor collection. I hope they will gain some knowledge of equipment and history, but most of all I hope they have a good time. It's probably not likely that any of these young men or women will become tractor enthusiast, but it is a opportunity for them to get away from their problems for a while. I'll let them drive and operated some tools in the garden and explain the working and use of the machines to them. I sent a video to the director to give them an idea of what to expect.

All we've got to do is load them in the van and try them out at the weekend at Biddenden. I think we made good progress on these and I'm very pleased with them, they are really easy to fit and will fit any of the C series tractors. They hav'nt been painted yet but i think we done well to get them usable

We didn't have to reposition the lugs for the lift. Chris had a good hunt through his stock of brake/clutch/lift rods and found a couple that got modified. His is the fully assembled one, the other is mine. The wear strip has yet to have the holes squared. I may not fit the rubber strip, then I may. Depends on what I using it for. They are only painted in primer and will be fully painted in the near future. I reckon we haven't done so bad in the time we had and we didn't fall out. I know one thing. I could do with a holiday.

The frames were straight, but we had to alter them to get enough lift. Chris is in the process of cleaning up that one and giving it a coat of primer. I'm off to drill the square holes in the other. .

    My Ford chainsaws

I need some service manuals and owners manuals for these saws. Also need a carb for the bottom one. Any help appreciated.

Next on the hit list was to tweak the frame so the engine could be removed.. So out came the hacksaw Now you see it.. Now you don't.. It's back again.. But this time with a notched joint.. To stop the bolt crushing the tube some half moon steel bar was welded in place.. When I cap the ends it will also fill the gaps you can see in the photo above.. One join almost done, one to go..

No chance of it being finished for a while Norm, but you can have a good nose at it tomorrow when you drop by the workshop The sp-z wagon sounds like a Japanese import car I guess it's about time for another update as it's been a while. The fuel tank gained a couple of these strange looking brackets. If your wondering what they are for, they hold the front of the seat down. The rear of the seat has a couple of plastic spikes/pointy bits which fit into the rubbers.. I found a couple of washers which were the right size inside but too small on the outside.. So I cut a hole in some plate.. Dropped the washer in.. Then zapped it up.. Tack welded in place.. They will get fully zapped up when I pull the quad apart to finish all the welding..

    Stormin's new tractor

The RT-16T has a lot of differences to the GT16 Alain. Although the chassis and many of the smaller parts look the same, the fenders, dash tower, gas tank and grill top half etc are different. The RT-16T grill slopes back at the top when viewed from the side and the headlamps are set lower. This can just be seen via the parts manual link and also on photos of the RT-16T found on Google images. I expect there was a lot of variations over the years, as with most things, so some RT-16T's could have had similar parts to the GT16 fitted. The decals also appear to vary a lot even in any given year.
