1975 Wheel Horse D200
slf-uk and 5 others reacted to HeadExam for a post in a topic
I only collect single cylinders, but I ended up winning the auction on this Wheel Horse D-200 twin cylinder at a very reasonable price. So now I see a Bolens HT20 in my future as well. Someone took two Brinly single gang discs and a Brinly three point sleeve hitch adapter and married them to make a nice double gang disc. -

Last weekend I collected my 850 from Chris and at the same time dropped off his 600 and an engine I picked up for him a while back. Good to have a catch up with Chris too. -
2 pointsQuick pit stop for taking the pics then Andrew Shame I did not have the time to finish it off for you

2 pointsChris , I wish I had kept it , letting go of it was like pulling all my teeth out with pliers & no anasthetic & then poking a red hot poker into the tooth socket . i cried like a baby all the way home .

Bolens 850
WestwoodGazelle reacted to Triumph66 for a post in a topic
I bought another Bolens, this time a 850 with a deck from Hampshire. Date yet to be verified but it from the mid to late 60s. I was particularly attracted to the go faster blue stripe on the bonnet. Also it's nice to have a different front decal of the Husky Man and not the Husky Dog on the front. The engine require some pistons and hopefully it will be up and running again. Thanks to Chris for collecting it and storing it. -

1 pointThanks Andrew, I saw the low hours, the dual brakes, rear PTO, three point, and finish mower and put a bid of 1100 on it, the other bidder went to 1000 and it pushed my bid to 1050, one more bid and he would have ha d it, oooh so close. Did you know the C and D wheel Horse tractors had thrust washer bearings under their spindles?

the reason i dont use a disc coulter is simple, i dont have one as for the adjustments there's the handle on the top of the plough for depth and a swivel point on the hitch part for leveling it. and the 3 holes in the hitch of course -

I see you don't use a disc and seems there's no adjustment on the plough. is there a reason for that ? -

South Downs Garden Centre, busy day today
S1g reacted to pmackellow for a post in a topic
Wendy and I went to the South Downs Garden Centre at Hassocks in West Sussex today. This is a well stocked garden centre with its own Heritage Centre and Lawn Mower Museum, today there was not only a display from a local stationary engine club but also the annual London to Brighton Veteran Car Run route went right past the entrance gates. Plenty to see today, old and new...
