Wheel Horse Sickle Bar.
Cub Cadet and one other reacted to Stormin for a post in a topic
Got a bit more done today. Plates made for the mule drive and cross bar to support front of main support shaft. Next thing to do is source a couple of drive pulleys, 5" and 2-1/2", 3/4"dia bar for drive shaft, drive shaft bearings and housing. Work out a method of tensioning the belt from engine to drive shaft. Not a lot really. -

Ransomes Turf Trac /Steiner
4x4forks reacted to expeatfarmer for a post in a topic
Finally managed to find a Turf Trac, typically I have been looking for a couple of years finally bought one from way down south only to find another for sale on Gumtree at Annan 30 miles away ( lot more money ). This one is fitted with a 4ft front mounted cutting deck. The reason I wanted one was that trying to move a dead crawler from one garage to the workshop was just too much for my ride on mower and using a live crawler just chews up the drive and the garage floor. 16.5hp Kubota three cylinder engine starts and runs well. Hydraulic lift front and rear , front and rear pto. four wheel hydrostatic drive with twin ratio axles 11 miles an hour top speed. Pulls like a train and turns in a 36inch inner circle. Needs a new seat some decals and a general tidy up. Typical it rained persistently after delivery so limited playing time. -

Versatiller
pmackellow reacted to zipfelmuetze for a post in a topic
Hi, my name is Stephan and I am new here. I live in Suffolk (originally from Germany) and recently I bought a Versatiller on ebay (some of you might have seen it). It is in good shape but needs some TLC before it can do it`s job in the garden. I`m about to heat up the shed and was wondering if someone could help me out with repair manuals or spare part lists before I take it apart? I was also wondering what kind of engine it is (can`t find any plates or stickers). Cheers, Stephan -

Hi all What is it I have never seen or used one have a guess have fun -
1 pointJust purchased a small grit blasting cabinet off ebay, item number 200472037005, couldn't believe the price - £54.90 and now it's arrived ( only about 12 hours after I ordered it) I'm delighted with the job it does. Definatley worth considering for those small parts.

Looking good. I made and replaced a customer's shed door myself yesterday. The shed was an old air raid shelter from WWII. Actually quite pleased with how it all went together. -

1 pointI've got one of those blast cabinets it's not a bad bit of kit.. I need to sort a dust extraction system, but by removing the mesh you can just get a Wheel Horse rear wheel in

Honda CX500 engine. Why Not build your own :-)
pmackellow reacted to Ian for a post in a topic
Hi all, I'm selling my spare Honda CX500 engine so I can start buying parts for my next project (yes I know I've not finished Why Not yet, but I like to think ahead ) This engine as you know was removed from a CX trike that Nigel and I broke up last year.. This engine comes complete with er.. everything..... Carbs, starter motor, cooling fan, radiator, coils etc.. Yes it has a bit of blue over spray but it's a good sound engine.. Collection from Hawkhurst, Kent. £400 ono I will get some better photos next week when I'm back at the workshop. -

Stormin reacted to expeatfarmer for a post in a topic
A few weeks before Christmas my front end loader arrived from Ohio apart from unloading it off the wagon I have not even taken off the stretch wrap until today when I needed to move it to get to the skimmer. Turns out the machine has never been used from new although it must be ten years old at least, not a scratch inside the bucket. Decided that the easiest way to move it was to fit it . It comes with a built in oil tank pump and filter driven by a vee belt off the front electric clutch pulley. I will post some photos on Saturday. -

Paul, your shed / s must be like the Tardis. I seem to remember when you bought John's Cub a few months ago, you said you might JUST have room for it. How many since then and how many more can you squeeze in. ? -
1 pointLooks the same as the Sealey one and at a great price. I've made several mods to mine, extra internal light, dust extraction for better visibility, finer mesh floor to prevent small parts falling through or getting tangled, lengthening the pickup hose and anchoring the pickup better. On the minus side the blasting medium does not flow to the pickup and every so often one has to tip the cabinet to get it to where it's needed It makes the compressor work quite hard but with glass bead blasting medium it is excellent for carburettors and starter housings etc. Not tried it with any more aggressive blasting material.
