In a rare departure, C4 was out this afternoon for some duties in the top field. Firstly pulling out some old fencing buried in the ground, and then moving a a few logs...as well as providing a little light to see.

I found this hand-operated duster at the Somerset Tractor Show, I don't know what make it is. The label appears to say When you buy ....... you buy..... (protection?)

    Ruston Hornsby APR

Before getting into horticultural machinery I collected stationary engines with my father. Of the engines we own this Ruston Hornsby APR 2 1/2hp model from 1928 is our most rallied engine. The last photo shows it driving our Evans water pump.

G621 Very early Rote Ho Gem 1943

Another project that im going to be working on when im waiting for paint to dry etc is my 1963 Series V Gem twin cylinder. Ive got about half way, but its looking very dusty and sorry for itself at the moment. Both machines are to be finished before next years tractor world. 20 years apart, in some ways they are very similar, yet in others very different. Rather than get this topic muddled up ill start a new topic for this one when I get a chance.

Working the horse... For a change

Great to see the tractors working and great to see your lads joining in the work party too. I like the look of that trailer too; it looks very substantial. I can't quite make out the logo on the trailer.

    Landmaster Ride on

I have also started to make a towing bracket for the tractor as there is a nice solid rear crossmember to bolt it to This is as far as I have got today... sorry the first photo is a bit blurred

Chris had the air line, he lined up the wheel halves and I bolted them together, I didn't just stand and watch him...

nice to see them working, mine get there fair share but i never think to photograph them! could really do with 4wd on one of em, but to be honest just a set of ags on one would be a plus, its so wet down here you'd need a trawler to move logs!

    Ride ons at Rosemount 2015

If you enter your machine into Rosemount you could take it up to the working field. I'm sure they would not mind you joining in. I'm not sure if they are doing something similar this year though, it would be a shame if they don't. We don't tend to have much over here for our size of machines. My Ransomes MG40 was down in with the stationary engines. Rob

Got a big mouth hasn't he Nope.. Another nope.. Correct Koen, but you don't win anything for getting it right other than the smugness of knowing James and Norm got it wrong Now part of the puzzle... A bit of trimming of a large yellow object. Yep, that's right.. It's going to be a trailer.. A rather special trailer too As with all these projects, some contemplation is needed, so Nigel and I put our thinking Cups on

I'm assuming this is a 20A engine. Here is a diagram of what I have. Let me know if you would like a better copy with a parts list and I can email one to you.

    danarm DDA 110

Thanks again Anglo. Yes I did find that site previously, a good source of info! Just to correct what I said before, the Pioneer 620 is not exactly the same as the Danarm DDA110 but is very similar, the grips and covers are slightly different and according to that site the carb is too. I'll post pictures up when I get a chance to take some. Joe, yours is missing a small rectangular metal plate on the hand protecting bar, you can just about see the welds on yours where it was fitted.

    danarm DDA 110

Hi all, I've just acquired the same model Danarm which was my fathers and last used well over 10 years ago. Thanks to info on here (thanks Anglo Traction) and elsewhere I've rebuilt the carb and fuel system (it was left with some fuel in which ate the fuel pipe), tinkered with the ignition and recoil starter and now it fires up and works a treat! Just wanted to say for parts the DDA 110 is exactly the same model as the slightly earlier Canadian Pioneer 620 (not S620). I guess Danarm imported them and badged them as their own. Carb rebuild kit needed for this model is Tillotson RK-114HL. I'm planning on stripping it down and repainting it but I've a couple of others of my fathers I need to sort out first. If anyone has any photos of a DDA110 (not to be confused with the later 110 Manual and Automatic) showing all the original stickers etc. that would be appreciated as most of mine have gone. Anyway thanks again for the info, it helped me for sure!

Hi all just a quick update I've got it home now , I'm going thru it all the workings of the tractor and I'm quite impressed with what it has , more of that to come along with pictures I've being looking for a replacement engine for it , it should have a three cylinder kubota engine around 20 hp but they are like hens teeth to find a good one at the right money . As the tractor takes it's drive thru a little prop shaft fitted to the crank pulley I could fit any engine into it ( with in reason ) , so I've been offered a very modern 4 cylinder jcb Perkins mini digger engine at the right price so I'm gonna measure it and see if it will fit in the engine bay etc more pictures to come !
